Maggie Valley, North Carolina
Tucked away in quiet seclusion, the Chateau offers convenient proximity to the Harrah’s Cherokee Casino yet is only a short drive to skiing and downtown Maggie Valley. Enjoy the calm, quiet view while you relax in the shady comfort of the screened-in porch or soak in the outdoor hot tub.
A two story cabin with 2 bedrooms, a cozy loft and 2 baths, the Chateau sits on 1.3 wooded acres. Each bedroom has a queen-size bed and there is a double sleeper sofa downstairs. And with a day bed in the loft, 7 can sleep comfortably. Access is by gravel road, which requires four-wheel drive.
Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall it was a lovely stay! Directions were easy. Had a little difficult time getting up the driveway in my Kia Sportage, so recommend AWD or truck. Hot tub was the best part for sure! Loved the cabin decor and homey feeling. Fairly clean, could use a little vacuuming behind furniture. Bathrooms were clean, plenty of towels. Beds were so-so, not the worst I ever slept in but I would recommend upgrading them to something softer (my husband I are snobs about beds but in my opinion they are the most important part of staying away). For some reason the heat was set on an max of 72, so I could not adjust it any higher, which I thought was odd. We had a baby and usually keep our house 73-74 (from SC and are cold blooded). Overall really enjoyed our stay and would go back. The Maggie valley area is nice. I recommend Country Vittles for breakfast. We enjoyed shopping in Waynesville.
From getting booked to check out was simple . Property was very clean , lots of extra touches made it special. Was a adventure going up drive way . Took lots of walks . Perfect view . Hot tub was amazing . Would def recommend this cabin in future .
The weather was great the whole week. Temperatures did not get above 75 all week. House was in a very sacluded location which made the vacation even more peaceful.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a very restful and peaceful stay at your cabin. We spent most of your time there sitting on the covered porch enjoying the birds singing, the cool breeze, and beautiful mountain view. The cabin was just as described and very accommodating and comfy. The downstairs bed was a bit too firm for us so we used the upstairs bed. The kitchen was stocked with most everything you would need and a great variety of DVD's to choose from. We did some hiking and did not see any bears this go round. The road into the community was easy enough to manage but the driveway was filled with water run off gulleys but our Subaru did just fine. However, that is why we own Subaru's. The cabin was very secluded but close enough to other cabins. Check-in and out was easy with the realtor. Overall this was one of our top two or three cabins and locations and will gladly try to rent it again in the near future.
The property is beautiful and wooded, the view is awesome. You can’t see any other houses, which we love. The kitchen was well stocked, other than not have a cheese grater, we bought one at Wal Mart and left it so now future guests will have one. We will definitely be back to stay here again. I would definitely recommend a 4 wheel or at least an AWD vehicle especially in the winter months.
Well they weren’t lying about the 4WD but the neighbors in passing seemed friendly and shared the road in. Once you get up to the house, you really don’t need to leave. The fire pit is perfect, we didn’t get eaten up by bugs and enjoyed making s’mores! Grab some wood in town and buy a lighter. The hot tub was hot on arrival, we adults spent a whole day recouping from our drive. The front porch has amazing views, we had some rain roll through and the valley was just gorgeous. There’s also a screened in porch w gas grill, we didn’t use that area. Kitchen was equipped with everything you need, can opener is a little out dated.. bring the cans you can pull open. There is a large fridge and freezer, which was awesome! Thankful to have had a laundry area and two bathrooms for our family stay. The WiFi worked well enough for kids to play video games and stream a show before bed. We couldn’t figure out their living room tv set up but the bedroom downstairs has dish tv. We brought our own Xbox and had no problem connecting to or using the internet in the living room. Water is hot, which was refreshing for a “northern” home. The A/C worked great, set to lowest 73 degrees on cold in summer. There’s ceiling fans also! Lots of great food options in the area, a Walmart and grocery close by and many family attractions. We drove into Cherokee, Asheville and Gatlinburg during our stay. We would definitely stay again, it was perfect for our family of 4 and two other relatives.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My husband and I had a terrific experience at Les Chak. The adorable cabin was quiet and peaceful. Every morning we had coffee overlooking the magnificent mountains and loved the hot tub after hiking all day. We were delighted to be visited by Mama bear and her two cubs. The location was perfect for visiting Waynesville, Ashville, Cataloochee and Bryson City.
We enjoyed this beautiful cabin it had everything we needed and more. We enjoyed the wraparound porch the hot tub and we cooked meals in the well stocked kitchen. The way to the cabin was a little intimidating since we don’t have a 4 x 4 vehicle but our AWD manage to take us up with a little effort. We also enjoyed the beautiful view of the Smokies from the porch and the swing. It is really a great cabin to relax and unwind very secluded. Thank you for sharing it with us. We had a really great vacation.
Pretty much as advertised and great over all. Pictures don't lie, it's secluded with great views, awesome wrap around porch, working hot tub and great views of the stars at night. My one complaint: While the listing shows 'Internet' the paper work we were given (not this listing but the physical welcome package at check-in) was quick to point out it was satellite and thus not suitable for streaming. It was a small inconvenience but I would have preferred to see that front and center in the VRBO listing. Problem with the A/C upon arrival but it was taken care of and A/C restored. Lastly, the driveway. Yes, as other reviews say it is a bit tough on a non-AWD/4x4 and the rain made it worse. My front wheel drive Hyundai Santa Fe made the climb well enough however a sedan might struggle (especially with rain or snow thrown in).
