Great location for our duck and fishing trip! Relaxing views from the house and a nice sized kitchen to cook in. Would recommend!

Our family had a great time in Chauvin! We got to fish, saw alligators, water snakes and lots of Mullet jump in the channel. The house was very comfortable, quiet and relaxing! We had a wonderful time and can't wait to go back!

Fishing did not disappoint! Redfish, sheepshead, largemouth bass, bluegill, black drum and even an eel!! Great times!!

We came into town for a surprise birthday party for a family member. This house is so cute, well equipped and easy to find. We had plenty of space and would definitely rent again.

My husband and I came to celebrate our 25th Anniversary. We really enjoyed Gina’s place. It is very nice right on the bayou! We caught sheep head, redfish, catfish and brim right off the deck. I love the culture and food!!

It’s a 30 minute drive to civilization but it’s perfect for anyone who loves the water and likes to fish.

This place is perfect!! We crabbed and fished and had the best time! Ms Gina was very helpful and courteous. She even let us check out a little late. The home was a perfect respite at the end of the day. It is stocked with everything you might need. I can’t recommend this place enough!! We will definitely be back.

The property is perfect! The pictures actually represent what you will get. The two end bedrooms are spacious and the beds are very comfortable. The kids enjoyed the third room that has bunk beds and a pull-out daybed. There's lots of natural light without being directly in the sun so you can enjoy looking outside during the heat of the day without sweating it out. Both the upper and lower decks allow you to relax outside and cast a rod into the canal. The fans on the upper deck were utilized a lot. I've only stayed in a few vacation rentals where there were no problems with access, or something being broken, or the property not being the same as the description and photos. This place was awesome. My family is already making plans to visit again.

We had a little problem with the plumbing, and the owner said she would send a plumber. We told her don’t go through the extra expense of the weekend rates and we all took turns showering in the other bathroom. We were a little surprised that that there was only one roll of toilet paper for each bathroom (no extra) and only one trash bag. Luckily, we had brought some with us and there is a store only a couple of miles away. All in all we had a great time and made some wonderful memories.
