SeaClift - Big Stump Beach Ocean Front

The house is extremely dated. The heat did not work in one bathroom. One bathroom faucet ran continuously. This rental did not have sufficient bathroom linens for 4 women. Those provided were in very old and poor condition with stains on most of them. Inside cabinets and drawers smelled musty and “damp”. The hood over the stove is so low that guests over 5’0” kept bumping their head. The trim on the floor leading into the kitchen area is broken and caused a serious trip incident (there was no alcohol involved). The lock box fell apart when we opened it to retrieve the key. The pieces of wood meant to secure windows and slider door from brake in were not size or strength enough for security. In general, this property was not worth the price we paid. We did contact someone on the number provided and spoke about lack of heat and running water. He acknowledged the water issue and said he would bring by a portable heater the following day. I confirmed he had my cell number and that was the last we heard from him. The power was out for several hours that night which is an unpreventable issue given the location. What we discovered is that there was no sign of any emergency, battery operated emergency lighting for safety.The good points of this house is the view of the ocean from the living/dining area and 2 of the 3 bedrooms. There were plenty of clean dishes and glasses to use. The special bonus for one guest was that she remembered the house when her grandparents owned it

We loved our relaxing stay in this home. Great deck with a wonderful view of the ocean. Beach access just steps away (as long as you can make it down a little uneven hill/trail). The beds were comfortable enough, kitchen was useful, place was mostly clean and especially clean where it counts! A comfy-enough beach house we'd stay again. Would be good to clean out/organize the pans, etc. Def need some new ones. Watch out for those pesky sugar ants! Bring some food containers/secure clips. A beautiful, quiet beach!

The house had most of the things we needed however it was a bit dated and some things didn’t work quite as well as they could have. The house is super easy access from the road and very close walk to the beach which was nice. The view was great and the fireplace was a great feature for us. Od stay there again.

The house was clean, well stocked but extremely dated and rough. Furniture was very uncomfortable especially the beds. No TVs in the bedrooms, no direct beach access, fence yard isn't fenced because it has rusted out. Major ant problems in the kitchen, slow drains through out the house.Thankfully they were gracious enough to allow our family to move to a different place. Much nicer, but smaller. It ended up having our son, daughter in-law and Daughter and son-in-law and granddaughter left a day early... We rent every year and this is one for the books and not in a good way

It was all good maybe fix a few electrical outlets every thing else was fine

There were a few hazards for elderly guests, including rugs with no backing, and a shower with a very slippery seat. The beds were comfortable, and there were plenty of kitchen supplies. The view of the ocean is awesome, but there was only a picnic table to sit at outdoors.

Reviewer Comments: This used to be my Grandparent's cabin, my grandfather built the back half from lumber that floated up on the beach from a logging barge that lost its load. Their beautiful iron bed is still in their room. It has been 40 years since I stepped foot in this cabin, and it is just as lovely! It still has the kitchen cabinets he built, and much of it is the same. Felt wonderful! I think we will rent it every year!

Property is PERFECT for those who are NOT looking for pristine, 5 star hotel. It is nice, cozy, and older. Rustic. Great for a beach vacay. Sleep with windows open and hear the waves all night. watch breathtaking sunsets. walk miles of beach without many people. The bedrooms are great. Not fancy. If you are looking for 5 star hotel cleanliness and furniture, try a hi rise hotel somewhere. This is a whole different experience.

The weather did not cooperate, and it was very nice to sit around the fireplace and enjoy the view of the ocean. This is an older place, and if you’re looking for a fancy beach house, this isn’t the place for you. But I loved it, it has the old cabin feel of my childhood camping. The kitchen was very well supplied, the place was clean, with nice bedding and towels. Lots of pillows and extra blankets if needed. It has easy access to the beach, so we could come and go a couple times a day. There still is an ant problem, so food needed to be kept cleaned up and put away. Ocean Odyssey Vacation Rentals was extremely helpful and helped me adjust the reservation when my sister’s train was delayed. I definitely look forward to renting with them again.

This group of cottages in Oregon includes a cabin where my family spent many Memorial Day Weekends in the 1970s. It is not available for rent, but Seaclift is. All these cottages are about 80 years old and most have not been upgraded much. They are rustic and eclectically furnished over the decades. Our cabin needs a lot of updating of fixtures and appliances. It was reasonably clean (we had an ant problem) but could be nicer. The proximity to the ocean makes up for it. Note that the unit does not have direct access to the ocean as our 70s cabin does. But access is only a couple of units away, so not terribly inconvenient. I would give our experience a solid 7 out of 10

The house isn't the nicest, since it is dated, but it's got 2 bathrooms, 3 bedrooms with queen beds (2 bunkbeds too, but we weren't looking for that), washer/dryer, and did I mention, a fenced in backyard! We brought our dogs, had all 5 adults able to sleep comfortably (though the mattresses could use replacing), and a great view of the ocean, beach, and waves! A big picture window and a sliding glass door out to a good sized deck that sits above the fence line made for great views! If you can get past the dated house, this is a great spot to rent.When we arrived, it hadn't been cleaned sufficiently (hair in the shower, nail clippings on the couch), so we reached out to the number they gave us to text if there were any issues, and they refunded us a night. I would have preferred they sent someone to clean. We felt an ick factor the rest of our stay which detracted a bit from our enjoyment. Overall, I'm glad we got away to the coast, and I would consider renting that place in the future. I believe in second chances.

All three of us had a wonderful time. We each had our own bedroom. There were only about 3-5 other houses on this one little street and we were the last one. It was quiet and clean and comfortable. The cherry on top was the weather, turned out better than we thought it would. Long story short, our stay was excellent.

Loved the view...whale watching ...bunnies and location....all spot on....give that place a make over

If you bring your dog, they HAVE to be supervised. It was advertised as fenced back yard. It is NOT-LOTS of holes! Our dog got out many times. Not enough supplies in kitchen. The master bed had a horrible mattress. There were two dangerous light switches. Bathroom fan did not work. Dining room chair and recliner broken and not usable. On the positive side, the view was beautiful. Enjoyed the wild rabbits in the yard. Good access to the beach.

location is perfect. 3 bedrooms with comfortable beds. W/D are an added feature. Beach view from the back patio could't be better. Could use a better set of pots and pans and also I had to call for towels as there were very few and no kitchen washrags or towels. They were delivered withing 24 hours. Elec outlets in kitchen stopped working but no one called or camg by to fix. We just moved the coffee pot and toaster to an active outlet so made it work. Bought toilet paper and paper towels. I felt for the money it should have been better set up for visitors. Too much money for what we got so do not recommend it to anyone else.

Size perfect, view perfect. Cleanliness so so. Very dusty when we got there, bath soaps from previous occupants left in shower. Other than that we enjoyed our stay.
