Description

The ideal holiday home in Robinson Crusoe style, hence the pun 'friday'. Ideal for a couple with or without a child (mainly up to 12 years). The house is nestled in an olive grove of 1,500 m2 in the midst of a Mediterranean plant and herb world and has a very beautiful sea view. The accommodation is independent of local providers and is therefore environmentally friendly. The electricity required is produced by a photovoltaic system and the tap water is obtained from a rain tank. The location is quite easy to reach by car, bike or on foot. The distance to the city of Korcula is only 2 km, to the ferry port 4 km and to Lumbarda 7 km. The hidden bays and beaches on the island can be explored quickly and easily, these are usually only 5 - 10 minutes drive away. You are not directly 1. Row by the sea, however, gives you the opportunity to explore a new bay every day, far from the hustle and bustle of the crowds. From the house you can take direct hiking and mountain bike tours away from the usual traffic routes. Just a stone's throw away is a typical Dalmatian tavern, where you can taste the homemade traditional Dalmatian cuisine. The picturesque medieval town of Žrnovo is only a 5-minute walk away and offers all supply options and necessary facilities such as a grocery store, post office, restaurants or cafes. We will of course provide you with sufficient excursion and gastrotips related to the island of Korcula. In general, the island is still spared from mass tourism, the old town of Korcula is also called Little Dubrovnik.

We stayed for a perfect week in September 2015. Norbet was a perfect host, he met us from the ferry and took us to the villa. He explained all the best coves, beaches and place to eat, even offered to meet us for a coffee if we wanted to catch up. Other than that he left us to have complete privacy at the Villa. The location is ideal if you want privacy, and like exploring the countryside and different beach each day. You're completely surrounded by olive groves and woods. Because you're high up the hill it's a beautiful view! It takes 10 minutes to walk into the villiage which has 3 places to eat, we tried 2, the best being Belin (Book in advance, it's busy!) but the other was also very nice. You can walk into Korcula town in about 30 mins, but coming back it's a steep hill so takes a little longer. Norbet very kindly provides 2 good condition bikes for free, or if you can't face the hill have a car! Korcula is great loads of nice places to eat, it's a beautiful town. The actually villa is spotless, and very well equipped, everything you could want, in fact I think the kitchen had more utensils than I do at home! The BBQ/outdoor oven is lovely. If you like a quiet holiday, enjoy sitting with a drink in hand enjoying the view, BBQ sizzling away in the background, surrounded by the country side then this is the place for you! Absolutely FAULTLESS!

We spent one week here during our honey moon and we really loved it. The view is great, the house had everything we needed and it was in the middle of the olive orchard. To go to Korcula it's less than 10 minutes drive. We arrived at ~11 o'clock in the night, but it was no problem, someone waited for us, showed us where the house was and gave us the keys. The weather was very nice. We had a great time and we hope to go there again next year.
