Stayed Jan 26, 2026The owner was nice and responsive. I left a personal belonging behind and she arranged a shipment be sent to me, which is very thoughtful and above and beyond. The home itself was beautiful with lovely views of the island and a tasteful interior. Centrally located to Calheta as well. Would absolutely recommend this stay!

Stayed May 25, 2024Nicely kept house with a beautiful view of the ocean from a large terrace. Very well-equipped kitchen for those who like to cook for themselves. Quiet neighbourhood . Good base if you want to visit the western part of the island. A tip for your visit: follow the owner's instructions to the accommodation, as googlemap will send you in the wrong direction. We had a wonderful stay in Calheta!

Stayed Sep 1, 2023The house has truly breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean. It is spacious and well equipped with everything you need. The cleanliness of the house is very good and the contact with the owner Jean was very pleasant and friendly. It was also nice to find a bouquet of fresh flowers and a typical Bolo der Mel to welcome us. We found the location of the house very quiet and we were able to relax very well. Thank you, Jean, for a lovely time.

Stayed Jan 8, 2022Property is new build and immaculate. Lovely views from the terrace which is south facing and gets sun all day. Walking distance (though hilly) to small village and bars. But only short taxi ride to marina which has some nice restaurants. This was our first visit to Madeira and we loved it. Picturesque tiered mountainside farms and houses. Easy trip from airport though we were surprised by number of tunnels, however only takes about 45 mins to Airport with good run. Some narrow roads on final approach to property but none too difficult and all on proper tarmac/concrete roads. Communications with owner was excellent and e-mails were answered promptly, Highly recommend we will use again when we come back to Madeira.
