Although you can see the Currituck Beach Lighthouse from the deck, you'll want to stop by this historic wonder to explore the grounds and climb to the top. Then take a tour of the nearby Whalehead Club along the Currituck Sound which was once a hunting club in the early 1900s. If you own a 4WD vehicle, continue north along Hwy. 12 until the road turns to sand and take a leisurely stroll along Carova Beach where you might spot a Corolla Wild Mustang roaming the beach.
