Sea La Vie 4 Bed Home

The stay itself was fine. Beware, the house is not close to the beach and has a steep walk down from main road. The house was moderately clean but dated. The neighbors from behind had several large mature trees so there was a lot of built up bird waste and mice running along the fence. The grill was clean and the kitchen was stocked with the needed amenities. The main problem was the communication with the host. Ultimately there was an issue with their online booking system that caused them to not capture my final payment. Hours before check-in I was inappropriately asked, “Do you know what happened?”—a question that now seems accusatory and misplaced. They then allowed me to believe the issue was with VRBO. After a very lengthy conversation with VRBO, I was informed that the initial error originated on the hosts end due to the software transition. What made this situation even more frustrating was having to work through it on the day of check-in. This added unnecessary stress to what should have been a smooth start to our trip. It’s disappointing that the issue wasn’t identified and resolved ahead of time, especially considering how preventable it appears to have been. At the very least the situation could have been handled with less deflection and a more understanding that gave me the benefit of the doubt. I have used this booking platform multiple times without encountering this level of difficulty or the need for such extensive follow-up.

Leucadia is very laid back & pretty. I look forward to staying in this area again.

Great house with good size bedrooms. The 4 bathrooms were either in the bedroom or right next to it. Easy to navigate to the 5 or head to the quaint beach town of Leucadia. - parking for 4 vehicles - Lots of beach toys for the kids - easy check in and checkout

Great place, very clean and convenient

Great place -- the pictures don't express how spacious it is. Each of our couples had a bedroom and bathroom to themselves. One bedroom is on the first floor-- perfect for 86-year-old Grammie.

not really that close to the beach

Couldn't have been happier at our stay at the Sea La Vie home in Leucadia. They made everything very easy and automated for check-in and the home was beautiful, had all the rooms and bathrooms we could possibly want and was absolutely spotless. Highly recommended if you want to enjoy a great North County San Diego getaway near the beach.

We had an awesome time. We have rented a house at least twice a year for the last five years, so we think we are experts. The house was well stocked with basic needs like detergent, foil garbage bags and coffee pods (the important stuff). The pots and pans were awesome. It really felt like home.

This home was perfect for my group. The kitchen and living room are so spacious. Everything felt new and clean. The personalize touches in each bedroom and bathroom really make the difference. All the bathroom and kitchen essentials were there so we could pack light. Jonathan is an excellent host and communicated well

We absolutely loved staying in this home. The themed rooms really gave us an authentic California experience. It was perfect having the home so close to the beach. We also enjoyed hosting in the backyard. The check in process was easy and seamless. Jonathan did a great job communicating with us.
