    Our 5th time in sea colony. This townhouse is tucked away from everything in the southwestern part of the property. It’s lovely but requires a bike or tram to get anywhere. Could use a gas grill and updates to the furniture. Great neighbors.

    House itself is nice, in fact it was the second time we rented it, but we will not be doing that again. It was absolutely filthy upon arrival. We spent 3 hours cleaning and the floors were still black with a wipe, and absolutely covered in cobwebs and dust. The carpet was also unrecoverable and absolutely stank- we had to cover it and the couches. The house is also quite infested with spiders and roaches (including a roach in our bed). The pillows are also uncomfortable and unclean- we knew this from last year and actually brought our own. The last day, we removed the couch and carpet covers to wash them, and everyone in our family was covered in bites the next morning. Half of the TVs don't work and the other half only have a few channels. The one roku tv was missing the remote which vacasa advised we buy ourselves (still haven't been reimbursed). The first night the house smelled of gas, and the next day the gas service showed up to turn it off (even though we hadn't reported it yet...). Mold was coming out of the refrigerator water dispenser. The primary bathroom toilet only flushes about half the time. The front door is incredibly difficult to lock, so we had to pretty much exclusively use the garage which is horrendously loud for some reason.

    Loved the house nestled in the woods. Very peaceful and friendly community. Great access to beach. Pools, water pad park and gym access was appreciated by the entire family.

    pros - private guarded beach, pools, fitness center, beach shuttle, quick drive to beach, 3 overflow Sea Colony parking available on East side, close to Market Place, fitness center and grocery stores, renovated kitchen/bathrooms/new flooring throughout, newly painted, three spacious sized bedrooms upstairs, each with their own ensuite bathroom, new washer and dryer upstairs, linens/sheets/hand & dish soap/shampoo/toilet paper/paper towels provided by VACASA cons - lacked pre-inspection and items described as problematic were discussed 1 year ago Master bedroom has a bathroom with a sliding door that can't be locked and also has an open partial glass shower door. Beds and pillows are uncomfortable except for the master bedroom. Dining room chairs lacked cushions. Air conditioner is very noisy, furnace is located near powder room. Lack of directions for the property such as TVs (tenants need to know how to operate remote, what streaming services are available, what the cable channel line-up is) Missing remote for TV in sunroom, notified VACASA same evening as checking in. Missing DVD player listed as an amenity, VACASA stated they would provide a loaner if it was conveyed but never did. Missing cable box in the master bedroom, only streaming services available (VACASA stated if there is no box there is streaming services, it would have been better to remove the cables). Deck off master bedroom is not inviting, attachment to gutter taking up space and woods too close to deck. Property door was very dirty and had spiders and spider webs every day/evening so VACASA should help alleviate this issue so tenant can feel safe exiting the property. No light in the garage (repaired by VACASA due to complaint). Bathroom with 3 twin beds has a broken outlet that is not secured to the wall. Master bathroom has a broken outlet and several light switches are not working. Missing window treatments in the master bedroom above the king bed. VACASA provided a temporary rod and curtain. Missing items: laundry baskets, dish towels, towel ring in master bedroom and kitchen sink, pot holders (only 1 supplied and was not safe to use), condiments/oil/spices (only salt and pepper provided), throw rugs (more needed in entry way, kitchen and bathrooms especially master bath. VACASA did not clean properly, light fixtures above dining room/kitchen table had cob webs and sunroom was not cleaned. We found long black hairs on the queen bed and in the bathtub connected to the same room. Lack of parking and difficulty coming out of space/close to woods, garage too small to park without damaging car. The modem for the WIFI was disconnected upon arrival. There was a remote for the fireplace but it was not labeled, VACASA turned off the pilot light off since it is summer. The water filter in the refrigerator needed to be replaced, it was ordered but never replaced so several trips to the store were needed to buy clean water. Missing cover to reservoir for the Keurig coffee maker. Ant poison found in several kitchen cabinets with dead ants, conveyed to VACASA who told me to throw them out. On the last day, VACASA was outside the driveway and side porch talking to a couple. A few hours later VACASA placed a large bag of towels/linens near the walkway. We had to move it to the side porch so we could safely pack our car.

    Very nice house, great size and layout. Simple and nice decor. Very convenient location within sea colony. Biggest issue was around cleanliness- housekeeping seemed good (bathrooms, counters, etc. were clean) but it was clear the house hadn't had a deep clean in a long time. Also, Beds/linens/pillows need to be cleaned or replaced.

    Loved that each bedroom had a full ensuite bathroom and that all bedrooms were upstairs, so early risers/late nighters did not interfere with anyone else. Well furnished, and very quiet, private location. Garage for bike parking was a big plus too.
