Stayed Jul 14, 2024just stayed at scatter joy for a week with our family , my two kids, my grand kids (5,2,15months). The house was great, not sure we would rent it again with such young children, but I’ll go through pros and cons as there were both. However for grown children it was super. Pros: Check in was easy! location of the house couldn’t be beat. The house itself was spacious and accurate to the photos on the listing. The screened in porch was lovely to sit in during the thunderstorm we had. The kitchen was spacious and well stocked Plenty of games and smart TVs for entertainment Hot tub was really nice - although we were there during a heatwave so couldn’t really use it . Access to kayaks and row boat and peddle boat was super fun Washer dryer always a plus Bathrooms were newly renovated and gorgeous , plenty of hot water - good pressure Gorgeous sunset views from Lake front Nice deck for grilling , grill worked excellent Super responsive owner- very helpful with questions? Tons of information provided in the house as well. Con’s: The AC is a little different than your average central air unit and it is noted they usually open the window at night for cool air, we were there during a heatwave (obviously no one’s fault , ) and it was HOT. However ? The owner did everything possible to make us comfortable and cool

Stayed Jun 6, 2024If you are looking for a relaxing getaway in the Pocono's, the ScatterJoy property is for you. Communication with the owners, from start to finish, was simple and they were always responsive. The home itself is beautifully kept, with a fantastic kitchen to cook your meals (we mainly grilled on the deck), and a game room complete with a pool and foosball table. As nice as the house is, we spent the majority of our time outside by the lake utilizing the canoes, sitting by the fire pits, and fishing. Tucked away for privacy, but only a few minutes from the local shops and restaurants. I would highly recommend staying here.

Stayed Sep 28, 2023Very calm and quiet, like we were the only ones in the area. Saw very few other people, possibly because it’s between seasons. Beautiful changing colors of the trees. Beautiful view of the lake from the home, but trimming some of the height on the bushes between the house and lake would totally open up the view!!!

Stayed Sep 6, 2019This house was exactly as described and our family had a relaxing end of summer weekend at the house. The fire pit by the lake and the hot tub were the highlight of our trip.
