Scandinavian Inspired Chalet

The Chalet has a lot of character! It was well appointed in every way. Check in and out was easy. It is near Beech Mountain ski area and many other main attractions. It has two wood burning fireplaces and a fire pit in back. S’mores are provided and can have up to two housebroken pets. Deer roam in the back and sides of the Chalet and we saw two wild turkeys. It is in a quiet area. Of note to anyone with significant mobility issues, to get from one floor to the second you must be able to climb a spiral staircase or you will need to go outside onto the deck and use regular stairs to get to the other floor. We totally enjoyed our stay. It was beautifully decorated for Christmas during our stay.

It was a great stay! The host had tons of helpful amenities available during our stay. It was a very close drive to the ski resort and the bars/restaurants in the area. Would definitely book again next time we look to ski in the area.

Well equipped for an extended stay.

The cabin was wonderful. We certainly appreciated that everything was provided such as all the toiletries, towels, dishwasher detergent, trashbags, dog friendly. Our grandchildren loved the spiral stairs and their kid friendly rooms and toys, movies, etc. The weather was perfect this weekend and we had a great time. Loved watching the deer come everyday by our cabin and really enjoyed the peaceful setting and so quiet. Thanks for such a nice experience.

Thank you to Ben & Liz for sharing your property with us again. This is our go-to spot in the mountains. It’s absolutely perfect for a weekend getaway. This time I enjoyed hiking the little trails by the house and enjoying quiet time with my family. As always, the place is beautiful, clean, and perfectly stocked. I can’t recommend this spot enough.

Great location

Had a great time at this location loved having deer walk right up to fence line and not run away at every sound. Liz was responsive and gave us things to do. One of the tvs weren't working and she was there quickly with a new one. Was just a nice relaxing vacation.

We loved this house! Plenty of room for 5 people and 2 dogs, but still felt really cozy. We are already planning our next trip around the availability of this chalet.

We loved this house. Everything we needed for our stay was privided, including great weather. The host was very responsive to all our questions. We took advantage of all the hiking on and off Beech Mountain. We will stay here again.

Plenty of room for our family to spread out. Property is dog friendly. Location was convenient to our friends’ house and the country club.

The house is two levels connected by a spiral staircase. We stayed upstairs mostly. It was clean and had everything we needed.

This house was perfect for our family ski trip! Very well equipped especially in the kitchen and bathrooms! The kids and adults loved the games and books. We look forward to renting here again!

This home worked perfect for our group. We had kids downstairs and adults upstairs. That was a great setup. The home was stocked with everything we needed, and then some. Everything was clean and in good condition. We spent a lot of time inside because of weather, but I really liked the decks and backyard firepit area. The owners were great with communication and helpful information. The property is in a good location for skiing, as its a short and easy drive to the resort. Overall, nothing but positive here. I recommend!

This place is the best. My grandkids ask for us to stay here each year. The chalet has everything you need and is in a perfect location. The owners are attentive and very helpful. We love it here!

My family and I spent Christmas at the chalet and we had an amazing time! The home is immaculate and one of the cleanest places I’ve stayed in. It was very easy to access and so warm and cozy. Liz is an amazing hostess and very thoughtful. They have everything you need to have a warm and welcome stay. We are very grateful for all of their hospitality .

My family stayed for a couple of nights with our toddler and baby. The house was very well stocked with essentials, including some things for young children. Everything was clean and very comfortable. The weather was unseasonably mild for November, so we were able to take full advantage of the nice backyard firepit and the expansive decks on the house. It is located in a quiet area with only minimal traffic which was nice. Much of the house has been updated, especially the kitchen. We especially liked the large dining room table. I've been in a number of houses on Beech, and this is one of the better updated ones on the market. I will say the spiral staircase could be challenging for anyone with mobility concerns. These are somewhat common on the mountain, but something to consider when booking. Otherwise, the house should be a good fit for most families.
