We have been going to Minnesota fishing for 30 plus years. This has been the most comfortable and accommodating place yet. Amy was very helpful and pleasant. Kitchen was spacious and well equiped. Family friendly - ample seating for everyone. Plenty of parking. Lake view excellent.

The cabin was a wonderful family retreat! Everything was furnished with quality kitchen items, bath towels and soaps, beach towels and beach toys. Our grandchildren enjoyed the upstairs play area and unique toys!! The screened in porch and deck was perfect for family breakfast and dinners. The pontoon was great for fishing with the littles and sunset cruises. The eagles nest made us feel right at home in the Park Rapids lake area. We will definitely consider coming back again real soon with the whole family!!!

This is a beautiful, well furnished property. The house was very clean and well-equipped. Beds were comfortable and there was something for everyone-from toddlers to teens. We enjoyed the water equipment and on rainy days the younger children spent time in the loft play area. The screened porch was a perfect dinner spot and the 2 deck areas had lots of comfortable seating. Communication was prompt and easy. Highly recommend.

My family and I had a wonderful week long stay, the house was spacious, clean and inviting. We thoroughly enjoyed fishing, kayaking, boating, swimming, paddle boarding and floating on Lake Pickerel, along with great bonfires and making s’mores in the evening with a beautiful view of the lake. Being able to use all the paddle boards and Kayaks was amazing and so fun!! We rented their pontoon and had many hours of enjoyment fishing from it as well as swimming in the middle of the lake. On days that it rained, we played board games and cards for hours (thank you for the great variety of board games!!) - we were never bored. The kitchen was well stocked and we enjoyed cooking most of our meals but did enjoy a few delicious meals in Park Rapids! A huge thank you to our hosts for answering all our questions and giving us this amazing place to spend time with our kids- many great memories were created! It was a great week! Thank you also for your advice on walking paths, bike trails and pickle ball courts! I hardly wanted to leave, it was such a great week!!!! Thank you Pickerel Hideaway!!!

We had a large group stay for a week at this property and had the best time! It had plenty of room for everyone to have their own space. We had ample room for all of our vehicles to park, along with space for a boat. The extra fridge in the garage was a huge bonus. The kitchen was well stocked with starter supplies, and all the utensils you could need. They had a large assortment of games to play and the kids loved the upstairs toy area! We were able to catch many fish right from the dock, including Northerns, Bass, and Panfish! The kids loved playing on the beach and using the included kayaks/paddle boards! We rented the pontoon for the week and took it out on the lake multiple times. Amy was great about showing us how to get everything going. The property was well kept and Amy was great to work with!

Amy and her family have a very nice property to use. Their attention to detail is the best we have seen. My wife has been taking a summer Up North vacation for over 50 years. We decided to try Park Rapids this year and we are glad we are back. It is a great place to spend a week, lots to do and plenty of local amenities. Back to Amy and her family, the place is very well appointed and everything is well thought out. You can see they take pride in what they are offering you and your family to use. We highly recommend a stay with them.

The grounds were very well taken care of, the beach provided hours of entertainment for our children and they loved the log for their sleeping area! We can’t wait to stay here again next summer!!

Our family had a wonderful week at Pickeral Hideaway! Amy and Diane were great hosts, they were very responsive and fun to talk with. The house was awesome, everything we could have expected and more! The house and property were immaculate. The house was well stocked with everything we needed, kitchen supplies, bathroom supplies, etc. We used the grill several times during our stay. The toy room upstairs was great for the kids. I sat in the screened in porch every day just watching the lake and wildlife. There were so many things for everyone of all ages to do, water toys, kayaks, paddle boards, a pedal boat, fishing off the dock, and on and on. We rented the pontoon for the week; it was a hit as well. Upon arrival, Amy gave us a tour of the lake which was nice. The sandy beach was a hit with the kids. Park Rapids is a neat town, there are several stores to get groceries and supplies. There is a lot of local shopping options downtown, and some larger chain stores as well. If ice cream and candy is appealing, you will certainly want to go downtown, we did (twice)! Itasca State Park is about a 30-minute drive north. It is worth the trip to see where the Mississippi River begins. This was the 6th year of our family taking a trip like this, somewhere different each time. Each year we spend the last day thinking of pros and cons for the review. We could not come up with anything negative. Everything was perfect and we hope to come back!!
