Sassafras Surf beach bungalow, steps to the beach!

We had a great stay, the location is perfect, short walk to Moddy beach ( private beach with small public section ), and very short drive to Footbridge beach, we even walked to Footbridge beach from the house ( about 20-25 minutes ). The house is bigger than il looks, with a large living area. Comfortable beds, well furnished.

Sassafras has a special place in our family's hearts! Our second summer here. Perfect location. Great stay for kids. Kate is the best host and is always so kind and accommodating. Our home away from home!

Nice place, a mile walk to the beach!

Place is great (way bigger than it looks in photos), and comfortable. It had all we needed and more. The host is wonderful and helpful.

My family stayed and enjoyed the proximity to the beach and all the shops and restaurants around wells and ogunquit. We’ve stayed here two years in a row and will be back again next year!

I rented this property for my son, my daughter in law and my two granddaughters. The outside of the property doesn’t look like much but the inside is adorable. The house is much more spacious inside than it looks like it would be. The inside was clean and the rooms are all decorated with a modern boho feel, very nice decor, the furnishings are very nice also, the bedrooms were a good size and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked but the coffee maker could use an upgrade. They were unable to sit outside because of the mosquitoes, even unloading their car they were attacked by mosquitoes, it’s is very close to the marsh so that could be why there were such a large amount of mosquitoes.

Perfect place for a family getaway. Love the location, a great home base to visit some many places, wells, footbridge, Portland! Great host, clean and the right amount of amenities.

We stayed at Kate’s place in celebration of my husband’s birthday & had a wonderful time. The house is clean & bigger than expected, the neighbors are friendly & the walk to the beach is both easy & lovely. Kate is a great host and has taken time to ensure beach supplies are available & the stay is as easy as possible.

Our family of 5 had the best time here. Beautiful house, amazing host, and great location. We were able to check off many of our must-see spots and then come back to our home base of Sassafras. We made memories that will last a lifetime and we couldn't be more thankful for the opportunity to do so in this house!

The house was really nice for our weekend getaway. Great proximity to the beach, route 1 attractions, restaurants, quick ride into Ogunquit.

We enjoyed our stay and can’t beat the location with a short walk to the beach. The house had all the accommodations we needed as a family with young children and we had easy communication with the owner. Would love to come back and stay again next year.

We stayed here for a long weekend and the house worked perfectly for us. A short walk to the beach and a short drive to Ogunquit and Kennebunk/Kennebunkport. It’s nothing glamorous but a perfectly functional place to stay that served our purposes well.
