Greenfield Center, New York
Welcome to our Adirondack retreat located across from Lincoln Mountain Forest and Snook Kill Stream. Our personal home is nestled in a private, serene setting with easy access to downtown Saratoga Springs, Saratoga Race Course, Adirondack Mountains, Saratoga Performing Arts Center, Lake George, several lakes, Saratoga Springs State Park and Moreau State Park only to mention a few. It is centrally located so access to major highways will get you to your many possible destinations and historical sites. Fall is a spectacular time to spend in the Saratoga area. I will name a few suggestions here. We have our own local winery. Saratoga Winery is a frequented spot with weekly events and wine tasting. Fall is apple picking season. We have several orchards in our area. Saratoga apple offers hot apple cider donuts, hay wagon apple picking experience and often music entertainment. Fall is also a great time for golfing at our beautiful Saratoga State Park. Please ask for information on any of these events. There are three kayaks for your use at the water area at rear of the property. Please note that during some of the summer the water is mostly covered with water lilies however you can still enjoy kayaking however it will take a little more effort to get through the water lilies. There is a release of liability form that requires signing prior to use of the kayaks and hot tub. We are in close proximity to many local and regional ski mountain resorts. In under an hour you can access Gore Mountain (1 hr.), West Mountain (21 min.) and Willard Mountain (40 min.). In under two hours you have access to Jiminy Peak (1 hr. 25 min.), Bromley Mountain (1 hr. 29 min), Pico Mountain (1 hr., 35 min), Stratton Mountain (1 hr., 43 min) and Killington Mountain (1 hr., 46 min). Our home offers a relaxing experience to enjoy nature and beautiful views. You will savor the peaceful surroundings and tranquility you are looking for, while feeling completely at home in our spacious Adirondack style custom home. Main floor offers a spacious cathedral style living area. Cozy up to a fire near our granite stone fireplace. There are abundant board games for your pleasure with family and friends. A large screen TV is available as well. The open style kitchen is large and well appointed with all your cooking needs. Dining areas are available at the casual breakfast nook overlooking water through the pines and native white birch trees. If your taste is more elegant enjoy the formal dining room with a tray ceiling. If you enjoy a quiet space for reading or playing piano the library room offers a plethora of books of all genre. A full size bathroom with walk in shower along with a main floor bedroom with king size bed complete the main floor. The upper level adds four bedrooms and 2 additional full bathrooms. The great master suite is equipped with a king size bed and coffee area. The large master suite bath offers a Jacuzzi tub and a spacious walk in shower area. The home sits on nearly five acres of peaceful land away from the hustle and bustle of downtown yet it is only minutes from all Saratoga Springs has to offer. You are welcomed to hiking and canoeing right on the property and enjoy the babbling stream on the east side of the property. This home is a true treat and we are so happy to share it with you. We have lived in this area for over 12 years and look forward to hosting you. We are wealth of knowledge about all of the events and activities that this spectacular area has to offer. Please feel free to contact with any questions during your stay.
My family enjoyed a happy, cozy thanksgiving in a beautiful house on a gorgeous plot of land. Host was easy to contact, kind, and generous. Definitely recommend a stay here any time of the year.
Large house, very beautiful backyard and property. Fire pit, hot tub, porch were all very nice. Kitchen and f dining room worked very well. Close to amenities and overall an easy experience. If I had only one minor complaint it would be the organization of the kitchen was a bit confusing at first.
We had a great time staying in Susan's home. The house is spacious and comfortable for a large group. The kitchen is well appointed and makes a fabulous gathering place. Our grandchildren loved the alcove off the kitchen. Susan was easy to communicate with and was very responsive. We will definitely stay here whenever visiting Saratoga Springs.
This house is perfect. 2nd year in a row for us. We will be back again
Susan was an awesome host. Very communicative from the start. Even allowed an early check in for us. We were a bit surprised how lived in the house was , but Susan does let it be known in her description. The grounds are beautiful, the lily pond spectacular view, we really enjoyed the fire pit too ! We didn’t realize how far we were from town but all in all we had a good time. Thanks Susan
We had an amazing weekend gathering our closets friends in this house. The house is absolutely stunning, clean and cozy. Everyone who walked into it was impressed with it. It was so nice to gather but we each had our own space to go to when wanting to be alone. It was about 15 minutes from SPAC. We will definitely be returning!
Property was beautiful! We stayed last year as well and was just as remembered. Would come back (again!)!
Our family of five, spanning three generations, spent three nights at this lovely home on the occasion of our daughter's college graduation. The space was attractive, comfortable and filled with interesting activities (make sure to go kayaking on the pond). There was plenty of room for all of us to stretch out, but lovely gathering places for us to congregate as well. The home is minutes from downtown Saratoga Springs, SPAC and Skidmore College. Susan was quick to respond to questions both before and after our stay.
Thoughtfully appointed spacious home well suited for our group of 8 adults. We had a great winter weekend stay. Enjoyed the open layout of the house and serene views of the woods and pond/marsh. Friendly communication with owner made booking easy and convenient. Would return and recommend.
We had a large group of 10. Place was perfect. We arrived to find a decorated Christmas tree and a roaring fire! Wonderful host and beautiful property!
Will do again, it worked out well for all the people.
This was a very large house. It was clean and had lots of things to cook with and was set on a nice property.
Fantastic house. Roomy and comfortable
This home was perfect for our ladies' weekend in Saratoga! It's so close to everything but feels out in the country. We enjoyed a bonfire and spent time together in the house.
Great property wonderful house to come to with friends & family Enjoyed our stay
My wife and I and our two dogs rented Susan's house for 5 days. It was easy to use, a nice yard with clearly defined trail to the water. It's a 10 minute drive to the race track and Saratoga for fun,, shopping and good restaurants. And the location and home were perfect to come back to and relax after long days out. Susan is very responsive to any questions we had. We would definitely recommend to anyone looking to rent in the area.
Susan was very easy to contact and responded Quickly to my emails. The home was ready for us a bit early which we appreciated.
Great place, huge yard. Plenty of space inside. Be warned that GPS has you a Quarter of a mile or so off. Use the mail boxes to find the house.
Wonderful home. Great for family get togethers. Susan was an excellent communicator. Highly recommend.
WOW... What a place. Love the layout of 1st floor. Big great room with large TV. Lots of recliner seating , Formal dinning as well as large breakfast nook. Hot tub. Then the back yard again WOW !!!! A fire pit Smores... Nature at its finest, a lighted path through the trees to the pond. Most of my family tried the kayaks and fishing. Breath taking. What a view, such a private secluded lot.
Spent Memorial Day with my family of 7 adults. House is beautiful, spacious and clean! Close to Saratoga Springs but with the enchantment of the country, peaceful & quiet. Susan was very accommodating. Great experience. Can’t wait to book again!
We gathered here for an Easter weekend with family from New York, Connecticut and Massachusetts in order to spend time with our father who lives in a 55+ community in Saratoga, but clearly would not be able to host all 12 of us for meals and visits. There was plenty of room and a nice flow throughout. The setting is very peaceful, though if you have dogs who love the water you best be prepared to intercept them before they find the river behind the house (or be ready to dry them out constantly). Because it is a family home, you do need to be okay with sharing refrigerator space with items that are not yours, but we had all adults in our group and everyone knew to just use what we brought with us. Thank you Susan for a lovely weekend.
