We liked this property overall. However we did not know the next door neighbor would be putting on a new roof the entire 3 days of our stay so we left a day early because we could not enjoy the site, sitting outdoors on the balcony not the hammering noise and loud music of the roofers. Suggest that instructions he left for use of the thermostat as well as the TV system.

We have stayed at this property for the past 4 years when visiting Cashiers and always enjoy our stay. Great location, clean and perfect for our family of 4. Looking forward to our next visit!

Beautiful, sunlit place. High up in the treetops. The drive up can be a bit harrowing, but well worth the effort. We'll come again.

Nice place! We truly enjoyed our stay. The trip into and out of the neighborhood is very steep. We were prepared because we saw others’ comments but it was enough of an issue to ensure we only left and returned once each day! A few improvements could future renters happier:- Reduce the temp on the water heater. It is set too high and could be dangerous for small children- Garbage disposal flap has deteriorated. It spits out at you! We had to cover it with a bowl before using.- Towels - Need more than 2 extra towels and washcloths in MBR - Luggage racks would be nice- Add an iron and ironing board. I was counting on this and looked very rumpled at nice dinners in town

Our house was beautiful, we admired the materials the owner used. All bedrooms and baths are fine. Top floor tub has water jets. We especially appreciated the decks where we spent time admiring the beautiful forest surrounding us. We were comfortable in the pretty well equipped kitchen. All in all, the house is a lovely place to spend time. Except: the toilet paper is too thin - luckily Ingles in near-by. The beds are a disaster. We never had a good night's sleep so we were tired during the day. The mattrass-es are much too soft - one sinks in! There should be a choice of pillow: these were all the same: high and firm. I finally used one from the couch in the living room. All in all we were happy to be in Sapphire - lots to do in the area - waterfalls ae gorgeous, the Resort (5/day) has two clean good pools, a gym, other stuff to do. We were disappointed about how crowded Highlands is. I couldn't tell which cars were parked and which were on the road waiting to be able to progress. We were there many years ago - so peaceful at that time. All in all, we're very glad we chose this vacation - it was a happy few days in a lovely area. We would certainly use VRBO and Evolve again. All contacts were good, and on your own, you kept us informed with all we needed to know. We' very much appreciate the information you give throughout, and offer any help we might need.

We enjoyed our stay at this property, especially the out door spaces. It was roomy and clean. Nice neighborhood. Shampoo, bath soap, etc are not included so be sure to bring your own. Would stay here again.

Gorgeous location with a spectacular view. The house was absolutely spotless when we arrived. Kitchen is reasonably well appointed. Lovely, open floorplan upstairs. Two decks, upstairs and down, both offer fantastic views. The road up is very steep and fairly narrow with a couple of tight curves, so be prepared. Not somewhere I'd relish staying in January. Master bedroom upstairs is quite nice. The two downstairs bedrooms are a little spartan but largely comfortable, though the queen mattress in the one sagged quite badly on one side.Regardless, we enjoyed our stay immensely and wish we could have lingered longer. Would definitely return.

Really enjoyed our stay in Sapphire and the cabin was mostly clean. Despite timing our trip with a lot of rainy weather, we enjoyed some local hikes and views of waterfalls. Overall the cabin met our expectations, the bedding, towels and overall appearance were actually really good, but only 4 stars on cleanliness due to some pretty obvious things that probably could have been managed better. I would definitely recommend the cabin and would not hesitate to book again.

Although we never directly communicated with Dale, we appreciated the owners' thoughtfully provided night lights (high country nights are DARK!), new shower curtain liner & lots of hangers. Drapes/blinds in bedrooms/bathrooms only. Upstairs jacuzzi tub, downstairs shower. Steep approach on paved road, short gravel driveway. Tricky keycode lock on side door; wait for green circle before trying to open/enter. Wait a few minutes to retry if unsuccessful. Sapphire Valley Resort has a clean gym, indoor & outdoor pools, hot tubs. Next time we'll try the boat rentals!

We enjoyed our stay but we did have a few concerns. There was a musty odor in the house. A dehumidifier is probably needed. There were no hangers and I had brought some ironed blouses. However, the beds and linens were superb. Great location but parking was a little scary. There were two spots with significant drop offs. Also, the pictures show a great Mountain View but that is only during the winter. I should have noticed in the pics. The dining table and couches were excellent. It was a great price for the size but would probably not rent again.

We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely sapphire house. The house is very quiet and we enjoyed sitting on the decks and listening to the quiet. The bath tub in the master with whirlpool jets was relaxing. We will return!

A 3-day retreat, we enjoyed the serenity of this mountain home while our kids were at camp. The area is beautiful and we spent time in the car driving to Cashiers, Highlands and Brevard to explore these towns. If you are a golfer (we are not), this area is perfect because there are plenty around. As for the Sapphire National Golf Club, the activities area is a short drive down Hwy 64 and not immediately in the area of this house. Not a problem for us because we didn’t use them, but if you have kids and want to utilize those amenities, something to keep in mind.

The house was a decent size and accommodated our large family easily. The location was tranquil. Better cleaning of floors and counter tops is needed though.
