Sandy Bottoms....Higgins Lake 3 bedroom + Detached Bunkhouse

This place was perfect; everything was as expected and pictured. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook. The beds were very comfortable. It was nice to have the kayaks available. Our grown sons, who spent many years on Higgins Lake growing up, were all smiles as if they were teenagers again. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful home complete with everything you need (and all the things you forgot to bring!) These owners thought of every convenience one might need. Very nicely decorated, wonderful beachfront lot. We will be back for sure

House was outstanding. Nicely decorated and well stocked with great amenities. Big kitchen table/kitchen area was ideal for family meals. Outdoor area had outstanding view of lake, nice outdoor furniture and great fire pit. Great space for parking. Neighbors were very friendly. Owners were very responsive and helpful.

Sandy Bottoms was the perfect house to make memories at. The location of Sandy Bottoms is perfect to take a day trip out in multiple directions- we picked Mackinaw Island one day. With three children under 10, there was never a board face in sight- corn hole, the steps that led into the lake and the provided board games were the true winners during our stay. The view of the lake was truly breathtaking, I consider myself far from a morning person but I purposely found myself waking up before everyone else to enjoy a peaceful sit on the spacious deck and enjoy the views every morning. As a short term rental we very much enjoyed the fully stocked kitchen and found it very useful. The main house alone was perfect for my own family and bunkhouse was great for the additional guests we brought along. It’s not a big detail but when you notice it, it matters- the towels and bedding smelling like as if you laundered it versus the typical commercial (hotel) smell I feel like contributed to the home feeling. So many other great things to say but to sum it up - it truly felt like a home away from home. We will treasure Sandy Bottom forever and all the wonderful memories we made. We hope to see ‘you’ someday again in the future!

We have rented the Sandy Bottom for a few years. It has become one of our favorite places to vacation. The house is very clean, update, spacious, and the lake is amazing. The sunset view from the deck is a priceless. I would highly recommend the Sandy Bottom.

This place is beautiful, no other way to say it. Inside and outside. Convenient to some shopping, stunning view from the deck.

What a wonderful place to have a Girls’ Weekend!! Right on the lake with a beautiful vantage point. Place was clean, spacious and stocked with everything one would need. Will definitely be coming back again!!

We have been staying at Sandy Bottoms for the last 3 years and have loved every minute of it! The main house and bunkhouse are clean, comfortable, pretty, air conditioned for hot nights and well appointed. The views from the large furnished deck are spectacular where you can watch both the sunrise and sunset. The kitchen is stocked with everything you could possibly need to prepare great meals and easily seats an army of family and friends along with a beautiful view of the lake. It's also a great place for kids to swim and play since there are stairs close to shore off the dock with shallow water and a sandy bottom (hence the name Sandy Bottoms) which is ideal for little ones. The owners also provide Kayaks and outdoor games like cornhole, for hours of additional enjoyment. They also provide indoor games, cable and internet, and a Nintendo Switch for rainy days or late-night fun. I can't say enough about the place. It's awesome!

My family and I stayed at Sandy Bottoms for a week during July. The hosts are great! All the amenities are right there. We had forgotten our wine corkscrew….there was one in the drawer. It has great views of the lake. You are able to see the sunrise and sunset. The deck is a great place to sit and drink your coffee in the morning. Very nice fire pit as well. Beds are very comfortable. We will definitely be back!!

Wow, is my word for this amazing home away from home. The owners sure went the extra mile for this outstanding property! Highlights of this home are; comfortable beds and soft sheets, plush towels, open and spacious kitchen, and a terrific living space; and that's just the main house. Wait until you see the extra space for sleeping! The AMAZING VIEW at this home cannot be described! No matter your booking season, you won't want to leave and beg for more time here!
