Everything good

We had a wonderful stay in this lovely, spacious home! It was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed to be comfortable and cook big family meals. We loved the open concept kitchen and living area and the privacy of a first floor bed and bath. The big deck was so fun to have meals and hang out on. There is easy walking access to the beach where we spotted a whale and seals. We can’t wait to come back.

It's a mile from town which makes it even further off the beaten track. There is a state park beside it for those days when the beach is too cold or windy. The house faces south so you get a lot of daytime sun. It is around the corner from the street and houses that face the beach, so it is sheltered from the wind but there is no sea view. The beach is a 2-5 minute walk.

Sand Bucket is the perfect vacation home for family and friends. The spacious open floor plan was bright and welcoming with tasteful decor. The kitchen was well appointed with everything needed to prepare our favorite meals. The deck was our favorite place to enjoy coffee in the mornings and cocktails in the evening. And it was delightful falling asleep to the sound of the ocean. We appreciated the convenience of the lower level private entry, the additional living area and the washer/dryer. Our little dog Scooter felt welcome with dog treats and water and food bowls waiting for him.They even had a basket with towels to dry off Scooter after a day at the beach! We loved the location, right around the corner from Nehalem Sate Park, with great walking and biking trails. Beach access was within one block making it easy to walk the beach and watch the sunsets. It was an easy bike ride to town. We love our stay at Sand Bucket! We will definitely be back.

It was spacious enough to host us all comfortably and we greatly enjoyed the sunny porch and window light throughout. We loved the location, an easy walk into down town, and just two blocks from the beach. For a stay longer than 1-2 nights it could use a few improvements, most notably: hooks to hang bath towels (there was only one bar in each bathroom), a comfortable main bed (the mattress was extremely firm and my husband and I woke up very sore every morning), and a fully functioning vacuum. The home was noticeably cleaned, however being an older home, it could benefit from a deep clean!

Had a lovely time. Enjoyed being able to walk everywhere.

There is a downstairs and an upstairs living space which was perfect for a group with adults and kids. An additional bonus was it being dog friendly. The location is slightly tucked away with plenty of privacy but it's also a very short distance into town. The kitchen was stocked up with everything we needed to cook our meals at the house. Overall we had a wonderful stay and would definitely book this home again.

Great place, Lots of sunlight in November with the windows facing south Easy walking access to the beach. Having the living room, dining room area and kitchen as all one space made it easy to host 18 family members for Thanksgiving Dinner Definitely rent again
