Sanctuary - The perfect waterfront setting for your summer vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great house and location! Water pressure was uneven for showering. We had been told that the kitchen would not be stocked with ingredients/spices/basic foods so we brought our own but found EVERYTHING there you could want or need. We shopped before arriving at the house since we did not want to go back and forth to Brunswick after checking in at 4PM, but if we had gone to the house first we would not have needed to buy such things as mustard, sugar, etc.

We happened to be there on a very hot week so not having Air Conditioning was a little tough for us BUT the house was equipped with many fans to keep us comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked and had everything we needed for a family lobster bake. Thanks for a great stay!

It’s a wonderful place for people to gather together without being on top of each other. It’s peaceful. There’s an osprey nest nearby. We had a wonderful time staying at this beautiful house. It was spotlessly clean, had everything one may need and the house managers were very helpful and kind. The house is much nicer than it appears in the photos. The dock has a great place to sit on and there is a downstairs with a pool table and lovely sitting area. I am obsessive about cleanliness and in all honesty this might have been the cleanest house I have ever been in. Absolutely perfect.

We loved this home... great memories made... would love to come back. Perfect vacation home... love this part of Maine. Thanks to rental staff. House was comfortable, clean, gorgeous view... the home is well equipped for cooking ... if you love a peaceful location this is it.

The good: The house is beautiful and clean with wood beam designs throughout. Large kitchen, fully stocked. The scenery was amazing. The view from the house was awesome. Very secluded and private. Nice communal areas for the family to hang out. We rented our own kayaks and went out on the water often. Lots of stuff to do in the house including a pool table. The bad: The linen situation. You have to bring your own bed sheets and pillow cases. You can purchase them but it's annoying to have to arrive there and put the bed sheets on. Also, was only provided with ONE extra roll of toilet tissue and one extra trash bag for a 5 BR house for a week. You can pick up more at the management office but who wants to deal with that. For $3,000/week...the house should be stocked with that stuff. We ended up buying it ourselves. Also, there was no dishwashing detergent. Not deal breakers but annoying nevertheless. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would probably come back despite the annoyances. The family had a great time.

As a first time guest in this home, I was uncertain about what provisions might be included and was pleasantly surprised to find so many amenities ... everything but a corkscrew. The home, the property, the proximity to other locations and the property management folks were awesome. We hope to make this an annual stay. On the flip side, I have back troubles while there. Mattress related....who knows??? Even with the best and newest of mattresses, you cannot be assured that YOU will enjoy it. :) V.S.
