Saltbox townhome with views & fireplace - near Quechee Club, golf, & skiing

The house was great but getting in and of the front door was very difficult…the combination lock not easy to use and was frustrating even using the keys was not easy. I think the door should be looked at. Also we couldn’t find the wood for the fireplace till we checked out so suggest you leave instructions saying where it is located . Everything else was perfect so thank you

We loved staying at this condo during the summer! Views were beautiful and the ability to eat outside on the back patio while watching deer in the field was fabulous. We appreciated the proximity to rivers, nature trails, and restaurants. We will definitely be back!

We had a similar experience as Gwenell from the Oct. 2024 review. Tried to check in at 4:30 pm after receiving a text that the condo was clean and ready. We arrived to find the whole place in disarray - full trash bins, very smelly and dirty refrigerator, crumbs everywhere on the floors and surfaces, dirty towels and bedding etc. Called and texted Vacasa and they sent someone to clean at 5:30 pm. He stayed until 9:30 pm and did the best job he could. When we finally checked in late that night, I pulled out plates and glasses from the kitchen cabinets that were greasy and dirty!!! Texted Vacasa again and they promised some sort of resolution. Never heard back from them besides the automatically generated messages after we left to ask for our review. The beds were uncomfortable. We ended up checking out a day early.

Nice place. Could have been cleaner. Floor was not as xlean as could be. Overall a good spot.

The townhouse itself was great...clean, spacious, well stocked kitchen and everything we needed to spend quality time with family. However, the responsiveness of the management company was disappointing. We had questions about additional parking available prior to our checkin. It took 2-days to receive a response and never answered our question. Additionally, the thermostat was offline & off on the main floor & we weren't able to turn on the heat. The Vacasa team did not respond until 2-days after our checkout and never actually addressed the heat issue. We had to build a fire to keep the main floor above 60 degrees.

I rented months ago through the VRBO app, but received confirmation from Vacasa. In mid August, I contacted VRBO through the app to see if we could arrive a day earlier & leave a day earlier. I took screen shots of the exchange via VRBO app & their confirmation that the change had been made. Since we had 2 back to back reservations through VRBO, the app was showing the whole range of dates, so I didn’t give it much thought. A couple of days before we were to arrive, I realized VRBO had never updated the dates. They finally updated the dates. When we arrived at 5:30pm, the condo had not been cleaned & was extremely dirty (should have been ready at 4pm). I had a ridiculous lack of response from Vacasa, who kept trying to reach the “local crew” but couldn’t, and kept telling me to just wait. After an hour of sitting in the car in the cold, I got a manager with Vacasa on the phone. She also couldn’t reach anyone locally. However, a man arrived to clean and we finally got to check in at 9pm! I was told by Vacasa manager Nicole that someone would call me the next day to check on us. I’ve yet to receive a call. Needless to say, we were exhausted. Unfortunately, the kitchen still had food crumbs on the counters and table. The comforters had not been changed from the previous guests. Condo needs repairs - radiators are rusted; furniture is old, finish worn off, stained, & beat up; things broken/falling apart; the list goes on.

It was so lovely to sit in the deck and look out over the trees - really spectacular.

Loved the location. Very quiet area. Comfortable and homey atmosphere.

The key code for check in did not work. Phoned in for new code. Walked into a house at 4:00pm that was Extremely HOT! Did not cool down until 4:00am. Property manager was contacted and did not help. We purchased 2 fans to help circulate the 2 window a/c cool air. Property manager refused to reimburse us. House was nicely decorated and perfectly located. We enjoyed our trip, but not our first night.

Loved the views

We had a great stay at the saltbox condo. The apartment was clean, spacious, and perfect for our two kids (1 and 3). The space and small selection of toys and games especially came in handy with the sub-par weather weak we drew, but we were also able to beat the heat with access to the Quechee Club and Lake Pinneo, which the boys loved. The house had everything we needed for meals, entertainment, not to mention a bunk bed that our 3 year old loved. The area is great for kids, with many great walking trails and activities nearby like VINS, Billings Farm, and the Montshire science museum 15 minutes away. We definitely hope to return!

Such a terrific house. Great location and everything we needed for a nice weekend away. Near a ton of great places and enough space for us and the kids!

Our short stay was rainy so not able to enjoy the setting/view but the home was warm and comfortable. The beds in each room were very comfortable so it was a wonderful place to call home for 2 days! Thank you!
