Just a 5 minute walk to the swimming beach (safe for all ages), a 5 minute drive to the local wineries and 10 minute walk into town, Salt Beach house Portarlington offers a lovely, relaxing and convenient place to spend on your next holiday or special weekend escape. Portarlington is a historic coastal township located on the Bellarine Peninsula, 1.5 hours drive from Melbourne CBD and 28km from the city of Geelong.

Portarlington has 5 very popular vineyards within 5 minutes drive - Laura Park Estate, Terindah Estate, Jack Rabbit Vineyard, Scotchmans Hill and the Bellarine Estate all offering wine tasting, restaurant meal or snack. Free Shuttle buses leave from the Portarlington Pier to the wineries daily using hop on hop off facility for those not wishing to drive. Uber is also available. Several other great wineries are within a short drive also.

With beautiful views across to the You Yangs and Melbourne city, Portarlington is a pretty bayside town most famous for the Australian Blue Mussel. There are also many local heritage attractions and a great selection of cafes, restaurants, pubs and bars.
Port Phillip ferries cruise to and from Melbourne Docklands to Portarlington everyday. Bring your bikes to ride around the coastal safe riding tracks to Indented Heads and St Leonards, or stroll along the beautiful beaches. Shop at the local monthly markets. Fishing is very popular from the very long pier, or bring your boat and launch off at the local boat ramp. Water skiing and jetskis are also very popular sports in Portarlington. Local tennis courts and footy ovals within walking distance as well.

Salt Beach house is a beautifully freshly renovated house suitable for couples and families. This 3 bedroom home sleeps 8 people, 2 main bedrooms(queen) and 1 bunk room with 4 beds(singles). The house has all amenities to ensure you have a comfortable stay. It has air conditioners in each room and a lovely Coonara fireplace for those colder days. It has plenty for the kids to do with the huge outdoors area, XBox 360 gaming console, games, toys and seperate TV. A Bluetooth stereo system in the lounge and a huge outdoor deck with dining table, BBQ and bar table will have everyone enjoying the outdoors all year round.
The huge backyard across 2 levels is a great place to kick a footy or have a cricket match. Perhaps put your skills to test on the putting green in the backyard for some fun.
A large driveway will fit 3 cars or if you bring a boat or JetSki it can be parked securely in behind the gates.

Balcony/Decking- dinning table and chairs, bar stools and bench table for 4, occasional seat (balcony/decking has a lockable gate to ensure safety of smaller children)
BBQ with wok burner.
Backyard- large grassed area with mini golf putt.
Garage/games room with pool table, table tennis,, couch.

    Perfect house for our Portarlington stay! Easy to stroll to beach and town. House super cute and clean. Plenty of space to spread out and great outside space. Our host Tim was super friendly and quick to reply. Hope to return one day.

    Overall the property was exactly what we were after. Clear communication and expectations, clean and with enough space. Would recommend highly. One small note would be it can be challenging to organise the toilet without going through the shower/bath room or stepping outside, but not a big concern overall.
