Sakari's Sanctuary - Tuncurry NSW Pet Friendly house

Cathie is a very considerate host. The house is the best equipped we have ever stayed in. Our dog was very comfortable and there were even treats for him!I thoroughly recommend Sakari’s Sanctuary.

We had another lovely stay at Sakari’s Sanctuary. We love the secure yard for both the children and our dogs and the location is great. Cathy always makes us feel at home with all her extra little touches. We will definitely book again.

Our host Cathie, makes our stay very special in many ways. Cathie always responds to any questions almost immediate and has always been very helpful with her suggestions.

Wonderful relaxing stay for both dogs and humans. Home away from home. Cathie is very kind and considerate and she goes out of her way to make sure her guests (dogs and humans) are comfortable and enjoy their stay. We travel a lot with our dogs and cannot recommend this stay high enough as it was one of our best accommodation - house, secure yard, huge garden space and outdoor/indoor space. My husband, two girls (5 & 3) and I have truly enjoyed our stay at Sakari’s Sanctuary. Cathie’s attention to detail is amazing…we were greeted with wine, cheeses, chockies, hand made koalas and even dog treats for our two pups! The fridge was stocked with the basics and the beds were super comfy. Just beautiful. Our dogs absolutely loved hanging out on the deck and exploring the secured yard, as well as going for walks along the water.The home itself is quite private but still located close to the shops and the water. Sakari's Sanctuary is everything you could want for your family and pets.. Easy check-in directions, the most welcome feeling upon arrival, with personal touches everywhere. We arrived and had breakfast supplied with fresh free range eggs and milk in the fridge. The pantry was stocked full of condiments and necessities to start your stay. Cathie goes above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable with so many additional items included, that its like staying in a family relatives home. The house is super clean and has a generous backyard for the pets to roam freely. A fantastic outdoor deck and bar-b-que area also.Location is perfect. Set back a 5 min walk from the main street of town, we had the quiteness that we were after, and were able to leave the car parked most of the time.This place ticked all the boxes for our family and new dog. I have stayed at Sakari's Sanctuary before and when I saw it was available for our bowls event I didn't hesitate to book again. Cathie is the perfect host and the little touches she provides are so much appreciated. The home is immaculate and we loved every minute of our stsy.Thetheimimmacukate

Sakari's isnt just dog friendly, Cathie loves dogs and it shows in her hospitality for them and their owners. This place is comfortable, safe for your furry family and really well located. Cathie makes sure you (and your fur family) are comfortable on arrival with treats and all the basics. Well equipped for all of you (dog bowls, dog towels as well as all that stuff for human visitors!). Comfort and value.

The space was clean, beautifully maintained, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed for us and our fur babies.The location was perfect—quiet and peaceful, yet conveniently close to local attractions, shops, and dining. Every little touch, from the cozy bedding to the welcoming atmosphere, showed a genuine effort to create a memorable guest experience.I can’t recommend this place highly enough. If you’re looking for somewhere for your dogs, this place is it!! I’m already looking forward to coming back!

Thank you Cathie .. Sakari’s Sanctuary is a beautiful holiday home for both two and four legged visitors. Everything needed for an enjoyable stay was provided. Beds were very comfortable, the house was extremely clean and the kitchen was well stocked. The milk and eggs supplied on our arrival were very appreciated. The personal welcome to all of us .. including Benny was a lovely touch. Thank you for the gifts you left for us. Benny is still playing with his knitted toy koala.Would love to return in summer with my Grandsons

We have stayed multiple times and each stay has been perfect in every way. Our host Cathie is a very generous, kind person who has taken care off all of our requests. The home is very dog friendly and in a fantastic location for walking dogs or shopping at Woolies. We look forward to our next stay .

Our family of 5, plus dog, had a fantastic vacation in this wonderful home. The house is in a great location, close to everything, is well kept, comfortable and super clean. It has all the amenities you need for your stay. Definitely highly recommend!

Our accommodation was chosen for our pet. Yes we wanted our holiday but the accommodation had to be spot on for our dog.The accommodation was all about pets. We knew that the second we drove in. Safe grounds, secure fencing. What was an additional wow was a toy awaiting Barry, borrow a bed for him, a list of dog friendly eateries Our heart broke for the owner of Sakari her beloved pooch passing away in December. One beautiful dog who drew us to the accommodation in the first place.We can not recommend this property enough.

Very depressed that we did not book longer. The perfect home away from home for our four legged friends and perfectly set up for all. Close to amenities and a very quiet peaceful part of Tuncurry. Lots of pet friendly places available .... that arent really. Especially if you have furry family that are large dogs. Sakari's Sanctuary is extraordinary. Cathie takes the time to welcome pets whether small or large with treats, bedding and towels (very welcome after that post-swim rinse under the hose!) She looks after humans with equal care and thoughtfulness. Great place to stay! House is clean and comfortable and has everything you might need. Location is great. Awesome spot. Thanks Cathie!!!

Such a delight to stay here a second time. So much effort is made to ensure we were comfortable and entertained, this property is just perfect for our family of 4 with 2 Labrador’s. Close to Town, beaches, lake and seafood! We look forward to seeing you again!

Best holiday accommodation we have stayed in pets have everything they need to be made feel at home. No pet smells in the house big yard for dogs. Extremely happy with our stay. Already planning next year
