The views from this property are amazing! House was clean and towels were large and plentiful. The beds were also very comfortable. Hot tub was clean and the views again cannot be beat! The neighborhood was quiet and perfect for walking our little dog. Close to everything and numerous beach accesses within just a few short minutes.

Exactly what a beach house is supposed to be! It was perfect! To be able to put kayaks in right there, ride bikes, enjoy the beach, and visit local restaurants, this place was perfect. Despite reviews from before, it wasn't bad at all. The only thing we would suggest changing is the TVs and viewing options. We had a rainy day and just couldn't figure out the televisions. However, we brought a bunch of games and spent our time enjoying the large livong and dining area and scenery from the top deck. Thank you! We would definitely stay again!

I was worried about the place after reviews I read. However, if you are looking for a place that is close to both the sound side and beach, this is it! We rented kayaks, bikes, chairs, and corn hole. The place was more than what we expected. The living area is large with vaulted ceilings. Yes, it could use updates, but it's a beach house! It's honestly what we expected. We spent so much more time exploring the place that sitting around the house. It was a perfect place to sleep, bathe, cook meals, and relax in the hot tub. The sunsets were amazing from the home. The sound view was breathtaking! We were impressed and would stay there all over again!

The house was very comfortable especially the beds. Being on the Soundfront made for fun times in the water and out! Great spot to watch the sunset!! The family all enjoyed their time!!!

Our group of 8 adults (and 1 dog) enjoyed our stay here very much. We were in Avon for a week of windsurfing events, and the house suited us very well. The waterfront view from the balconies is gorgeous, and the location is close to restaurants, coffee shops, Sunrise seafood market and groceries. The dining table seated all of us comfortably. I think we would stay here again. Vacasa was very responsive in dealing with minor issues (fridge needed maintenance, for example).

The furniture and everything is pretty dated in this house. Overall cleanliness was fine and the dock on the water was a bonus. It was fine for our fishing trip but I know if the girls would have came with us they probably would have been unhappy with how “antique” everything seemed.

Since Vacasa has taken over the majority of rentals on the island, this home was no exception to the very typical-ness I’ve come to expect from them. This property was very dated, nothing has been updated or refreshed in probably over 20 years. The beds were extremely uncomfortable. Usually I can deal with the retro feel of things, but this house was truly filthy. There was dust everywhere, and I’m not talking a busy summer season’s worth of dust…this is caked on dust that has been there for years. On every surface. Above the cabinets it was an inch thick. On all of the artificial plants…caked on. We found a dead cockroach in one of the twin bedrooms and one on the staircase up to the kitchen. Where the kitchen table has a seam in it, there was food caked in the seam and it was disgusting. Every tabletop/countertop surface was sticky or unclean in some way. I felt gross even setting my belongings down before cleaning them off myself. This property does have 2 sit on top kayaks- FULL DISCLOSURE: you’ll see the red duct tape all over them. Our 4 year old told my husband he HAD to try them (we have kayaks at home), so he did. They are VERY unstable, not sturdy at all. November weather and my husband fell into the water because it wouldn’t stay reliably afloat. The two stars are for the view, and for the added convenience of being able to fish off the deck. Hopefully Vacasa will see they need to make improvements instead of using these houses as cash cows.

First off, the house was in a great location off of the sound with incredible views especially from top floor inside and out. The house layout was good too with four bedrooms on second floor. However the place needs some serious TLC. First off, everything above a housekeepers head is filthy. Light fixtures, ceiling fans, bathroom fans, cabinets, refrigerator top, windows, lampshades, and so on have a very thick layer of dust. The return vents were filthy. The HVAC vents were dirty, wasn't sure if it was just dirt or mold. We turned HVAC system off and did not use it or the fans as we did not want that to circulate. Also many walls had dirt, some in strange places. The inside of microwave was dirty and also rusty. Many of kitchen utensils looked dirty, We washed everything prior to use. The cabinets the pots and pans in were nasty in inside. The bottom of stove where roast pans were was caked with grease and dirt. Secondly, there are no comfortable seats in the house. It wasn't until we got in my SUV that we found comfort. The couch and chairs in living room should be trashed or burned. The rest of the chairs are wood. So nothing comfortable to sit in after a long day on fishing. Finally, as some others alluded too, many items on house are outdated. Now I don't mind outdated so much but some things are broke and need to go. Vacasa did reach out about the cleanliness after check-in and we did rate it as a 1 and they responded and said they could send someone to clean. However we did not want to be in a place that filthy while it was being cleaned. Best to leave that amount of dust, dirt, and filth undisturbed while you are there. Also, it is doubtful they would appropriately send the amount of people necessary to clean that house top to bottom. I highly highly recommend that Vacasa or owner clean this top to bottom and replace some furniture. Vacasa, this hurts your brand name. I'm super disappointed and definitely overpaid for what I got. As this will be an annual trip for us, we will be looking for other home and possibly through another organization.
