There were 5 of us who stayed to celebrate a birthday and we had an amazing time. The house was beautiful and the property is gorgeous. We especially enjoyed the hot tub and fire place. Checking in was very easy and Frank and left detailed instructions for anything in the house. The beds were comfortable and the plenty of room in the kitchen to cook. Frank let us know we could contact him with any issues and gave us wonderful suggestions for star gazing at night. The house was convenient to what we wanted to do (great hiking) and very comfortable to come back to after a long day. Highly recommend this home!!
It was a relaxing family weekend, made great memories.
Property beautiful views, cabin was better than pictures. Retro feel, comfortable living room, wood stove, enough space for young adult (18) and parents to be together and separate. Host Frank was terrific, responsive and helpful. 11 Minutes to windham and -also very private, sense of escape to the mountains. We loved it!
We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It was a good size for our family of 7. We had some nice snow which made it look even more magical for a mountain cabin vacation. It was very easy access between Wyndam and Hunter resorts for skiing for us. Owner was extremely nice and checked on us for any needs we had. It was very clean. It was well stocked with firewood and all the comforts needed. We loved the ping pong and fooseball table! We would definitely return to this one! *steps up and downstairs are a bit steep but no issue for us.
Frank is a wonderful and responsive owner! He truly took the time to make sure our needs were met and was incredibly friendly when we spoke on the phone! His cabin was a true retreat. The hot tub was a nice way to unwind after a day on the slopes and the comfy space to come together to talk and play games in the main living space was welcomed. I look forward to returning again!
We had a relaxing time here. All instructions and tips were spot on. Our only complaint is we had to leave! Great views, wildlife in the morning(deer) and very quiet and remote. Frank was great to talk to, didn’t need to call him during the stay for anything. Had no cell service but we were told that ahead of time and Wi-Fi worked great so all was good! Thank you to the Stella’s, your house is excellent!
We had a great time staying at this beautiful cabin. It was the most secluded property we’ve ever stayed at and we enjoyed the peace, quiet, and changing fall colors. The hot tub is an excellent amenity. Overall, a very relaxing vacation!
Quiet peaceful relaxing weekend !
House was very large. Plenty of room for all of us. Deer every morning in the back yard. My family loved the hot tub. Dot was nice getting out of the everyday grind to escape to this super nice truly log cabin home. Owners were super nice and called us to check in to see if there was anything we needed.
We checked into to a beautiful private mountain oasis. The house was spotless, the yard was perfect. There were 7 of us and we had plenty of room! 3 full bathrooms is such a benefit!! At night when sitting in the awesome hot tub, the sky is full of stars! It was tons of fun watching all the wildlife as well. We were close to several attractions and hiking trails. The owners were fantastic. Communicated with us immediately if we had any questions or concerns. They even checked in on us once to make sure we were enjoying our stay. I highly recommend this get-away. If we ever find ourselves wanting a mountain escape, we will definitely return!!
Quiet, beautiful spot with great views. Clean cabin, hot tub, and lawn area. Plenty of space for our group of 6. Well equipped kitchen with everything we needed. iPhones and androids alike did not have service, but the wifi was fast enough to support us all and there was a landline for emergencies. Very helpful and responsive host, we much appreciated the flexibility with check in/check out times coordinated the week prior to our stay. Thanks so much! Side note: we hadn't booked with Evolve before but used it because of a more flexible cancellation policy compared to the post on Airbnb. We didn't have any issues with the stay and would book through the site again.
The camp itself was very nice, but the area is clearly more of a winter area than a summertime one. Most restaurants, etc., don't open until between 2 and 4 pm, and even then, only 4 or 5 days a week at best. As far as the camp goes, there were a few small things renters should know. 1. The ensuite has no shower, tub only. 2. There is a shower on the first floor, but no bedroom, and the shower/bathroom is immediately off of the living room. So true privacy with that shower is limited. 3. The shower on the basement level is rather small, but is private. You need to be a mountain goat however to traverse the stairs to the basement in that they have an unusually deep rise between steps. 4. There is no a/c, which is my own fault for not noticing. Still, I think that people should be aware of that fact when renting in the summer. Truth is, the owner seemed very nice, the setting was fine as far as we were concerned, but the bathroom/shower arrangement was a bit perplexing. We did enjoy our stay and rate the rental very positively overall.
Maplecrest is a very nice house. The outside was great if you want to just spend the day relaxing at the house there is plenty of space to hang out and play games. We set up boxes and targets all around the back, sides and front of the house and played frisbee golf. We brought our own badmiton set and set that up way in the back. We also played croquet and corn hole and had a bonfire one of the nights. There is plenty of seating on both the front porch and back deck. For the inside it looks just like the photos it is beautiful and the cleaning service did a great job. It is nice to go to a place that is clean and that is not always the case with rentals. The beds were all very comfortable and no issues without ac with the ceiling fans it was very comforatble and cool the whole week. There was plenty of space for our family of 5 and our dog. The ping pong table and fooseball table were used alot. My son brought his nintendo switch and hdmi cable and was able to plug it into the upstairs tv which is a smart tv so there was always something to do while we were at the house. Down the street is a town park with a little swimming area with free paddle boats and kayaks to use, a basketball court, soccerfield, baseball field and frisbee golf. You can also go fishing there and go for a hike and dogs are welcome at this park. The best part was every morning i would take my cup of tea and go sit out on the back deck and just look at the amazing views of the mountains. It was very peaceful and relaxing. Thank you for lettinng us stay at your wonderful home.
Booked this house as a first Father’s Day/end of maternity leave get-away to relax with hubby and 4mo baby. First, Frank was awesome at communicating! We had all the check-in info a day or two prior to leaving, and everything was clean and easy to follow. The views are *chefs kiss* gorgeous, the yard is secluded (which was great for the dog), and it was only a 20-30 min drive to hikes, gas, groceries, breweries, etc. The house was clean, kitchen stocked, the yard was freshly mowed and the hot tub was ready to go. One morning it rained pretty heavy and made sitting on the porch with the metal roof very pleasing. Every couple of hours deer with their fawns would meander through the yard, which was great to see! Definitely a house to settle in and enjoy if hiking and sightseeing aren’t a priority. The most memorable part of this trip, actually, was due to our dog meeting his first-ever porcupine. Being from further south, it slipped our minds that bears and skunks were the least of our problems, so at 10pm, when our loveable idiot got up close and personal, Frank and his wife answered my emergency call, made some quick calls on our behalf while we scrambled to pack the dog and sleeping baby in the car, and helped us find the closest emergency vet (Albany, by the way). The next morning they called to check in on our pup (he’s fine). Their kindness and attention to the quality of our stay is very important, and as someone who rents very frequently, this was by far the best trip we’ve taken! We will definitely rent from them again! (With a shorter dog lead next time)
This house is great. Plenty of room. Lots of fun stuff to do (jet tub, jacuzzi, ping pong, foosball). Close to Hunter, Windham, Tannersville. Owners were awesome: pleasant and friendly interactions with them.
