Surrounded by trees and decorated with rustic charm, this Groveland vacation home is the perfect spot for your next trip! With access to a community swimming pool, plus a great location near the area's best attractions, this home will be an ideal backdrop for your relaxing getaway.
Under a mile from the Pine Mountain Lake Marina and under two miles to the golf course and central Groveland, this house is in an area that's convenient but not crowded. Yosemite National Park, with stunning scenery and hiking trails galore, is only 25 miles east.
The open-concept living space is great for spending time together. Start a fire in the gas fireplace and put on a DVD, Netflix, or satellite TV. If you need to look up a recipe for dinner, log onto the WiFi. A fully equipped kitchen has everything you'll need to prepare delicious meals, plus a coffeemaker to ensure that you've got plenty of energy to do so. There's even a dishwasher for easy cleanup!
The large front deck is the perfect place to entertain and relax on warm afternoons. There is a quiet back deck as well, to enjoy the peaceful natural surroundings of tall cedar and pine trees. Breathe in the smell of the trees as sunlight dapples the wooded surroundings, and enjoy the aroma of grilling that perfect steak, or a fresh-caught fish on the gas bbq. Watch carefully for wildlife and you might see deer, squirrels, and other furry neighbors!
With three bedrooms, as many as six guests will sleep comfortably here. Outdoor-themed decor evokes the lakes and streams of the nearby area in the two rooms with 1 King bed, and 1 Queen bed/1 futon in same room. The third bedroom has a lovely and very comfortable full sized bed.
There are two bathrooms, the better to share space with a group. A washer and dryer make it easy to get clothes clean after outdoor activities.
Families will love all of the options for entertainment nearby. The Pine Mountain Lake community has a fantastic green for those who want to play some golf, right by tennis courts and a community pool. Use your parking pass to gain access to the pool. Rent a bike or a steed from the equestrian stables and explore local trails, or head to the lake to fish or go kayaking or sailing with a boat rented from the marina. In the summer, the kids will be thrilled by the movies they show on the lawn at night!
Yosemite has so much to offer the intrepid outdoor adventurer. Amazing rock climbing can be found throughout the park, but advanced climbers may be most excited by the extended crack climbs in the Merced River Canyon. If you're looking for something a bit more zen, bring binoculars for birdwatching or a fishing pole for stream and river fishing. There is also lake fishing at Pine Mountain Lake, fishing licenses required, but can be purchased at the Marina Store. Perhaps best of all, the stunning scenery is an inspiration to photographers, so make sure to bring your good camera. Dodge Ridge Ski Resort (54 miles north) and Black Oak Casino (27 miles north) also provide plenty of diverse activities.

It was a very comfy place for my almost a week long stay.
It was a very comfortable stay very close to Yosemite and an amazing place for family and kids lots of toys and Vacasa’s customer support is really appreciatable . Highly recommend.
The cabin was very clean and had every amenity. Accessible to the lake for boating & Yosemite for hiking trails. Deer came by in the morning and evening.
The lake and the grill at the lake is the best place to take the kids. Yosemite is just down the road. I great place for family memories.
Let me start by saying that the home was spacious and cozy for our party of five and we had a lovely stay. It did not start off on the right foot, though, because the local Vacasa representative had forgotten to put our name on the parking list. We arrived at 11:00pm, had already waited in line for about 15 minutes, and then had to call Vacasa headquarters and get back at the end of the line just to enter the premises. (And I am not totally sure why we needed to pay to park when the home had a very large driveway. . .) The house overall was comfortable but a bit dusty and worn. It could definitely use some freshening up and some TLC. The sheets on the beds and towels were clean, but there were a lot of cobwebs throughout the house. We found some extra sheets crumpled in a ball in one of the closets, but there were not enough pillow cases. If you are used to the level of service provided by other vacation rental services such as Airbnb, this experience will be a bit disappointing. For example, you get one bag per trash can if you happen to fill up the first one (which is easy to do when you are doing your own cooking). You only get two pellets for the dishwasher. There was a tiny bit of salt and sugar and some coffee filters, but no spices or cooking oil. The kitchen shelves were labeled with photos for the dishes, which detracted from the homey feeling of the place. (There was also a sign asking us to save water by allowing two tinkles before we flushed the toilet . . . eww!!!) On a positive note, the neighborhood is beautiful, we enjoyed the front deck surrounded by pine trees, and the Vacasa headquarters was very communicative. The place has potential and could be improved with a little more personalized service and some TLC to the property.
This place was warm, cozy, and better than the pictures. We walked in and were in instant, relaxing vacation mode. The frogs chirping at night from the creek was a pleasant, outdoor sound, and a few deer came through the yard. Good place for adults, kids, and families.
Lovely home and such a great experience
The house is nice and clean close to Marina beach
House was clean. It had a few extra things that we didn’t bring.
Location was good - about 1hr from Yosemite. Guest access to local outdoor pool was a bonus. Really good local store stocked almost all things needed for the duration of stay. Subway and 2 gas stations within 2 miles. 2 restaurants on site plus golf course. Property was clean, but very dated / tired and in need of modernisation; having said that, everything worked. Shower / bath inherently dangerous - if you book this property, be very careful and mind children as there is no thermostatic control of hot water (boiling hot only - this would not be permitted in a UK holiday let). Oven very old fashioned (electric rings) - again, dangerous if you have small children. Internet extremely slow (almost dial-up speed). No TV stations seemed to be available. Location perhaps a little too quiet for some (and adjacent properties were unoccupied making if seem quite isolated). Property situated within a wooded area. Would have appreciated a map of the site on arrival at property and a personal welcome letter would have been nice. One smoke detector in property. Not suitable for those who struggle to walk (very steep drive approx 1:1 gradient and steps up to door but all in one level inside). Would not visit again based on things that need attention.
