Morro Bay is one of California’s great Central Coast communities The area has become famous for its beautiful state parks, bird estuaries, and the distinct Morro Rock. Tourists and locals both enjoy a variety of activities in the area, including fishing, surfing, kayaking, golfing, bird watching, beachcombing, or just relaxing and enjoying the sunset. Besides the nature and recreation of Estero Bay, there are also fine restaurants and unique shops. Morro Bay, the largest of the three cities, is at the heart of Estero Bay. Morro Rock, the last in a chain of long-extinct volcanoes, covers over 50 acres at its base and towers 576 feet above the entrance to Morro Bay. The waters that make up the bay are contained within a three-mile sandpit and the shores of Morro Bay and Los Osos. The local fishing industry is one of the most important along the California Coast. On the Embarcadero, you can shop, walk to Tidelands Park and play on the pirate ship, or simply sit and watch as the boats make their way to sea.
Party of 4 stayed here for Friendsgiving. It's an older house with a few foibles, but spacious, and the location is unbeatable.
We had a blast staying here. The house was nice and the view was good. There are a few things that could be done better. The lighting could be improved, it was pretty dim in most rooms especially the dining room. The outside could be cleaned up a little better also, there were a lot of spider's and webbing around. It is a overall great house and we had a great time on our visits.
This house is incredibly charming with its interesting nautical decor, cool alcoves, and great bay views! Everyone in our group of 9 slept well, our kids loved the game room and the Smart TV options were great. We will be returning!!!
A very unique house full of surprises and very convenient to town. Thank you for an enjoyable stay.
House is unique but clean and comfortable. Check in and check out instructions easy and reasonable
We spent a week at this property and loved it. It is an older property, so some of the furniture and things have aged. Keep that in mind if that sort of thing bothers you (it does not bother us!) However, it is very clean and is full of all the basics in the kitchen and bathrooms. The location is wonderful, the neighborhood is quiet and the property managers are very easy to be in contact with. We'd definitely stay again!
The beautiful tranquility this cottage by the bay offers memorable impressions of history, heritage and how the landscape came about... a very enchanting and memorable experience. Thank you.
The house in great location with awesome views of the beach. The house seems to have been designed in a unique way with views. Lot of decks. The kitchen was well equipped and clean. I would have like more signage for the front door especially since we arrived in the dark. But it was great stay.
We had an amazing tranquil stay at this uniquely designed one of a kind Morro Bay home. It was clean and well stocked with everything we needed as well as plenty of extras. There was space for all of our guests to be comfortable and plenty of common areas with seating to relax and soak up the Morro Bay views. We had one guest accidentally leave her Apple Watch behind and when the cleaners found it they promptly called us to identify it. Once we did they took it to a local shipping shop and had it mailed to our home. They went above and beyond in every aspect to make this a great place to get away. We’ll be back to rent again.
This is a great family place with plenty of space inside and out. Great patio, rooftop deck and sitting room. Great location
This house was so fun, with plenty of character. Accessibility to dockside was spectacular, though the road out front was on the busy side, day and night. This was a fantastic base camp for beaches up and down the coast. We had a wonderful time!
Rustic is accurate, road noise is not too bad. Seems like it might be cold in winter, could use throw blankets in living area to make lounging more cozy. Nice walk to Marina and cafe.
This house was absolutely amazing. Lots of space to hang out, both inside and out. Super close to all the shops and restaurants. The view from the balcony is stunning. My friends and I had a wonderful time!
interesting and nice building. but we were locked out of th den/family room for half the stay.
Our group enjoyed our stay in downtown Morro Bay! We loved the location and the view.
The location is great! About 15 minute walk to cute little downtown stretch with shops and coffee and well as the Saturday farmers market. In the other direction your a short drive to the docks where you can rent kayaks and the natural history museum. Spectacular views of the harbor and the sunsets are unbelievable. Some review knocked the house but we felt it was unique and well laid out. We were very comfortable and would stay again 100%
We stayed for my husband’s 60th birthday and had a great time. The house was quirky and so cute. We were happy to be so close to both downtown and the Embarcadero. Would definitely stay again!
Great Location in Morro Bay! Lovely harbor views! Room to spread out! Beds were very comfortable! Kitchen was well equipped. House would look a lot nicer if the owner would stain the exterior of house and fence. We had a great time!
Great location! The house is charming and located walking distance from downtown Morro Bay. There are 4 bedrooms and one large den if you need additional space for someone to sleep. The place older but everything is in working and and clean.
greatly enjoyed our time on this cool, coastal getaway
Very nice
The inside needs a good scrubbing and paint. There are nit enough towels for 10 people for a week. The outside is a mess and your not able to use it or enjoy it. Windows off track can’t open to enjoy fresh air. Under see the kitchen sink has not been cleaned at all. I am Air B n B super host I would he embarrassed if I was property owner. For the amount of money we paid very disappointed.
This was a large house with 2 master bedrooms and is minutes from many of the restaurants in Morrow Bay. The house faces Morrow Bay and there are ocean views from nearly every room. We did light cooking in the kitchen and there was a large screen TV with Netflix in the den. The 4 of us were very comfortable and enjoyed this house very much. Highly recommended.
Great location and within walking distance to the waterfront. House was great and clean upon arrival. Outdoor furniture gets dripped with sap from the trees on property, so some covers when not In use could be helpful to not to get your clothes covered in sap. I realize check in is at 4pm but we arrived at 3:45 and cleaning folks were still there. When we went to leave at 9:00am the cleaning crew were already standing in front of the house waiting for us to leave even though check out isn’t until 11:00am. This made us feel a little rushed to leave. Maybe this was due to a large car show for the upcoming weekend and they were busy. Overall I would recommend this property as we had a great time and the house provided everything stated and everything our group needed. Thank you so much for allowing us to use your home for our vacation.
It was good. Some of the furniture in rough shape. You can tell it isn't a home; just a rental. But it was large and fit our needs. 7 men on a golf trip.
