Relax in our gorgeous barn loft above our working barn.Sleep to the sound of crickets and frogs in the pond, then wake up and pet the sheep, goat, rabbits, kittens and chickens. Open floor plan with cathedral ceiling, rustic farm decor, fire pole, and sliding barn doors. Full kitchen, whirlpool tub and separate rain shower, laundry. Stone patio with fire pit for s’mores! 2 bedrooms, also a sleeper sofa, and we have air mattresses if you need them. We provide coffee and fresh free range eggs when the chickens are laying.
Loft is heated in the winter but there is NO A/C. There are 3 huge ceiling fans to keep air moving and stand fans as well. ABSOLUTELY NO PETS.
Our hosts Karen and George were very welcoming and helpful. Their spacious and well-designed Barn Loft was clean and comfortable - and exactly what we were looking for, for a quiet and peaceful week away! Upon arrival, Karen gave us a tour of the barn, and introduced us to their flock. The loft is stocked with every cooking utensil needed and a starter kit of spices to cook a meal. The farm fresh eggs were delicious! Loved the showers' water pressure, and the fantastic laundry facilities! Even in the dead of winter, we had wonderful heat, which added to the warm and cozy atmosphere of the loft! From the farm, it was an easy trip to visit the Duluth Trading Company in Belleville, and then continue on to Lands' End at Madison's Prairie Towne Center for shopping. Nearby New Glarus was a fun village to explore and learn more about Wisconsin cheese, meats, and its Swiss heritage. Karen and George are both very dedicated and committed to their sheep, and shared their knowledge of caring for them with us. The animals were so much a part of this wonderful visit. Karen and George, thank you so much for your hospitality!
Great Owners. Perfect stay. Better than advertised! We couldn’t have asked for more. We will be back! Thanks so much for everything.
I can't say enough nice things about this place. It's beautiful and extremely clean. If you want to stay out of the city, this is the place. Hosts were friendly and extremely helpful. Thank you for a great place to stay!
Karen and George’s barn loft was exactly what we were looking for in a stay! Very spacious, clean, unique decor, and the fire pole was a hit with my daughter. The animals were part of the wonderful experience. Karen and George are both very passionate about their flock of sheep and shared their knowledge of caring for them with us. It was so interesting! Overall, an excellent experience. We will definitely stay again.
Great experience! Karen and George anticipated every need. Beautiful, rustic yet modern renovated barn loft with many amenities. Loved the vibe! We will be back someday. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Beautiful updated loft above a working barn. Karen our host gave us a educational experience about the sheep and a tour of the property with other animals. It was fun to wander around and pet the sheep. Loft was equipped with everything we needed.
The kids has been asking to go back. One even plan his birthday for it.
Loved staying above the barn it was so much fun! This place is definitely something you will never forget.

We had a wonderful time - the apartment is just amazing spacious clean bright very well equipped. The farm the animals the views the sunsets - unforgettable. Kids age 10 and 14 were very happy and are asking to go back again. And we will ! Karen is such an amazing host!! THANK YOU !!
Our stay was just wonderful! This Barn Loft house is not only incredibly beautiful (decorated so well and just gorgeous wood everywhere!) it is so spacious, peaceful, and comfortable. The hosts are beyond gracious and took so much time with my family to teach about their animals and give us a little taste of farm life. The place is stocked well with everything you may need… and then some! The farm fresh eggs were just delicious! My teenagers loved all the animals and the freedom Karen and George give to guests to hold and pet the animals. The beds were soft (memory foam) and the rain shower and regular shower heads were so nice! We loved the jetted tub as well! Karen recommended Good Fellas restaurant during our stay and it did not disappoint! Great food and wonderful service!! Highly recommend! There were so many amazing parts to this property and we would highly recommend it! We’re hoping to make it back again in the Spring! Thanks Karen & George for sharing this little piece of heaven with us!
This was my second stay at the Farm, the first time was with 4 adults and this time a my dad, niece (5) and nephew (13). It’s the perfect location for any group any age! We loved it and will likely be back again!!!
The barn apartment is wonderful - beautiful woodwork and furnished with everything you could need (including phone chargers!). Our daughter loved interacting with the animals and Karen and George were engaging and informative. Be sure to visit the local cheese shops and wineries/breweries. A truly one-of-a-kind experience. Highly recommend.
Fun stay with kids.
Definitely a positive experience, recommended for anybody who likes to experience a farm. Great remodeling of a barn.
Excellent experience building life memories learning about the lambing process
We always have such a wonderful time staying at Oak Springs Farm! Karen and George are great, and we always learn something - we love animals, and Karen's knowledge is amazing. Love holding the lambs and watching them play. Enjoy the New Glarus area, especially the shops and Bailey's Run Winery. Third year here and just as much fun as the first!
