We stayed as family for 3 nights (2 adults, 2 teens) The property is good and sufficient for the group. Three points worth bringing up here. 1) There are two nice bedroom upstairs and two full bathroom downstairs. Coming down each time to use the washroom was odd & uncomfortable, but not a deal breaker. 2) One of the upstairs bedroom has one (extra) unusable broken King Bed, that should really be taken out or pushed into storage. Not sure, why that bed is left in the middle of the room :-) 3) Wifi is completely broken and as I managed to get it working the first night, I realized that the cable modem is actually unusably slow. And worse, the modem stopped and the internet was busted the second / third day. So, no Wifi at all. On the first evening, no one responded to the Wifi failure, so we all gave up the second & third nights from even trying to report it again. :-( 4) There is no TV. This could be a good thing, in a sense, but I did not notice this in the listing before booking. Again, not a deal breaker for me. Just sharing it here. Overall, not a bad place, but you should know all the above before booking.
This place had everything we were looking for. Easy to bike to, and from. Cozy home with everything we needed to feel at home.
The place was spacious and met all of our needs. We enjoyed staying there. Nice neighborhood.
Beautiful property with large pine trees in the yard. House was well equipt with dishes and even laundry soap. Neighborhood was very nice and house was located on a dead end street. Only complaint they were building a house cady corner to us the whole time except sundays but not during quiet hours of 10 pm to 9 am. Close to lake tahoe .
Near to SugarPine Pt campground, Tahoma market, bike trails, beach
The home is well-maintained, clean, fully stalked, plenty of beds, linens, and towels. No ac but that’s standard for Tahoe and they did have fans. Check in and out was easy peasy. Close to trails for morning walks/runs. My only complaint is the queen bed in the master bedroom - the mattress had a huge dip (as I’d really old) and needs replacing. Thanks for the great stay!
Our family enjoyed the four-day stay, especially the large kitchen and dining area. Would book again and recommend.
The inside of the cabin is great. The disappointing part was the yard. Except for the small front porch, there is no designated area to be outside for barbecuing, sitting or eating.
Like others have commented, the layout is a little funky. But it did the job, and was in a great location. Some of the frying pans were either still dirty or had teflon peeling off, so we didn't really use them unfortunately. Had a very short power outage the last night we were there, the plug in flashlight at the home didn't work, but luckily the power came on in an hour. Other than that, was a very nice stay!
Property as listed on VBRO is not a 2 Bedroom it is a One Bedroom and a loft. Also when we arrived several areas in the home needed to be cleaned properly. Several spider cobwebs upstairs and down. Beds upstairs had thick layer of dust underneath. Inside Kitchen cabinets needed to be wiped clean of food and crumbs.
