Rustic and all the comforts of home in the Heart of the Elk Range

Cleanliness the place was dirty ceiling fans had thick dust on them. There was a bat hanging from The Kitchen ceiling fan that that we had to Catch in the trashcan and release it outside There an infestation of ladybugs all over the place mostly on the windowsills the cold air return for the heater has so much dust and lint in it. It look like a dryer lint catcher. I took pictures, so if you would like to see them, I can send them to you. We were grateful that the driveway was plowed. The mattresses were stained the covers were stained luckily, I bought my own linen bedsheets. I was not notified prior that I could not use the fireplace inside after I had purchased firewood.

This cabin is in a great location. The stream out back is beautiful and the mountains surrounding brings a sense of peace.

Host was easily accessible, property is gorgeous!

Had the best time! Loved the painted rocks easter egg hunt! Saw lots of elk. Note to self go at day break to maximize elk viewing! Thanks for letting us stay!

Awesome accommodation and a great location for visiting highlights in Elk & Cameron County. Everything we needed & wanted. Plan on coming back next time we visit. Thanks for being dog friendly.

Our stay at this location was wonderful, it started with the Hosts being so Great to work with. The location was so Wonderful as well. We traveled with 2 children 1 dog an 5 Adults; the surroundings around the Cabin was Great ss well, we were able to take walks, the dog Loved the creek in the back. The Cabin itself was Beautiful inside . This location was off the beaten path but close to attractions within a short drive. I would give it a 10 for Host friendliness, location, an Cabin was set up very nicely for a Family of 7 . This one is at the TOP of our list to return next year .....

Thos is a great property-one of our favorites in the area! This was our second stay at Camp Critter. Such a great location & lovely property- it's just far enough out, but not too far. Hope to visit again soon!

We had such a great time. The kids loved the cabin especially the large yard. It was a relaxing vacation.

Camp Critter is a great place to stay. We've stayed here 4 years now, maybe 5. It is a great location and fishing in the area is excellent. Highly recommended!

We had an amazing stay. The cabin was beautiful as well as the surrounding area. Me and the family cannot wait to return in the summertime so we can take full advantage of the sightseeing. My only complaint is that the house was full of ladybugs so we were up majority of the first night cleaning.

Had a good stay. Everything was as described. The kitchen could use a few more items - there was a curious lack of spoons. Also, we brought our own sheets, but there were also not enough blankets in the house.

Had a wonderful stay at Camp Critter in Benezette for Christmas! The kitchen is very well equipped and the cabin is super cozy!

I enjoyed a nice, short stay at camp Critter. All the comforts of home. Checking in and out was a breeze. The location was great too!

We stayed for a weekend getaways. The cabinbis beautiful and on a spacious lot. The only down side is the water... The water has alot of iron in it, so does have a smell, wasn't a problem for us. Hoping to go back next fall.

It was wonderful. It was everything the property listing said it would be. Very quiet and enjoyable. Definitely will go again.

Perfect getaway…relaxing by the fire, enjoying the sounds of the water and lucky enough to have elk visit and put on a show!

We arrived a few minutes early and were able to meet the owners of the cabin. Very nice gentleman. The first morning when I went to open the door to have coffee on the porch, there was an Elk right in the front yard munching on the tree. There are also deer that visit the yard on a daily basis. The cabin was perfect. We will definitely be back.

We had a great time. The cabin was nice, could have been a little more clean, but everything worked perfectly there were plenty of kitchen supplies. The front porch needed the furniture wiped off. There were lots of bugs/insects but I’m assuming that’s because it is summer. The water had the strong odor but you get past it. Bring lots of bottled water because you cannot drink the well water. We would like to return in the fall sometime.

Very good location and accommodations, however the master bed was just a little too stiff for a comfortable sleep, but I get everyone sleep different. Other than that everything was great.
