The highlights of the property are the remote location (assuming you like that), the large screen porch (although it needs a few things), and the 3 large and comfortable bedrooms, including 1 on the 1st floor. Areas needing improvement are the screen porch - it needs some TLC, including patching a hole and more comfortable furniture. The WIFI - it was hard to stream anything, even if sitting next to the router. Replacing 2 dead trees in front of the home. Heads up - the 2 upstairs bathrooms are not that great. In 1, the shower head sits at @ 5', and the other is VERY super small. That being said I would stay again, especially with a few small improvements.
An amazingly charming farmhouse from 1903. There's plenty of horses, cows and donkey. Small family cemetery in the far corner of the property. Definitely a step back in time!
A lovely, historic home! We enjoyed our stay and the porch was perfect after a day exploring the area.
The home is comfortable and we spent most of our time on the porch which is fully screened. The home is old but we found everything we needed & the beds were very comfortable.
Peaceful
Neat old farm house with matching decor. Temperature was very comfortable. Beds were also very comfortable. Plenty of room for 6 of us. Loved the screened in porch with overhead fans. Family room seating could be a little better - chairs were old and couch is stiff. Also, master toilet was unpredictable and sometimes gurgled. Other than that this place was perfect!
We enjoyed our stay overall at the home however there were a few things that could have been improved upon. The internet is extremely unreliable and slow. The wifi barely stretches past the kitchen. I was planning on working while there and I could not. The furniture needs repair and there some of the decorations could be cleaned up. I believe the house was not as clean as it could have been because there was just too much stuff to dust. It was a nice relaxing location and we enjoyed our stay however as the title says we just expected more for the price.
Very peaceful, nice views.
Loved our time in this authentic southern style home. My dog enjoyed the surroundings, and although we're not use to the heat of that particular weekend, rallied with the air conditioning and overall vibe your home had to offer. Even extended my stay 1 more night. Ann was very responsive and someone I'd love to meet in person. True southern charm!
My mother and I stayed as extended guests in this charming home. We had a very nice stay, and the owner was very attentive and prompt in taking care of anything we needed. I highly recommend this home!!
