We've stayed all over Lake Tahoe maybe around 100 times, (I'm old), and all over the USA and a few countries and this was by far my favorite place ever. We all felt like we had come home. The furniture was great and comfy, the views were incredible, it came stocked with everything you've ever forgotten to bring with you. I can't say enough good things about this place. There was even a piano!
We had a lovely stay at this cozy home. The lake views from the deck (and most bedrooms) are absolutely gorgeous!!
Thanks for the warnings about the bears. We saw three in our short stay.
We chose this property for the view which was amazing and also for the seclusion. The price wasn’t bad until those ridiculous fees were added. The place creaks and downstairs rooms hear every footstep and the lighting is low so rather dark. I wish I could have talked with the owners before shopping because it was very well stocked. Lots of games and a very homey feel. We liked that side of the lake. We were in between seasons so not sure how traffic would be but we had no issues and felt as if we were away from the busyness. Lake Tahoe is beautiful! One other thing, we arrived after dark. It was actually hard to see the entrance and rather scary approaching the front door (bears on our mind) since no lights were on.
Very spacious , clean and fully furnished and equipped. Kids enjoyed so many games available at the property. The view is stunning with the view of the lake. We had one day of snow about 3 in and the side streets leading to the property was plowed and was clean shortly after the snow. It is easily accessible even in the winter. Only downside I can think of is the floor being somewhat noisy and people downstairs were woken up if someone used upstair kitchen, living room or bathroom early in the morning.
Had a wonderful time at this lovely cabin. In the winter be sure to have 4-wheel drive or chains.
Excellent. Hopefully rent again next year. Please pass on to owners.
The house, property and view were as depicted on vrbo. Everything was clean, heat worked, plenty of supplies/dishes etc. There's a piano too! One bedroom and bathroom were on the main level and didn't require the staircase, which was great because we had a senior in the group. There is a great view of the lake from the deck, living room, and 2 of the bedrooms. Quiet, peaceful neighborhood with a market and coffee options nearby. Short drive to several beaches.
This best thing about this house is the amazing view of the lake. The house was spacious enough for our family of 5. If you need wifi the house has wifi, but the signal is VERY weak. My husband, MIL and I were fine without it, but our teenagers were very frustrated. If we really needed a good cellular connection we just drove down the street to get it. The house is located at the end of a cul de sac so very private-great space to play badminton! The house is older and creaks a lot when walking around. The house has lots of board games. Overall, we enjoyed our visit at this house.
My family and I stayed at this property (kids, parents, grandparents) for a relaxing few days ahead of the school year. The property is very conveniently located near Meeks Bay and D.L. Bliss campgrounds/beaches. It is somewhat far from a large grocery store, but that wasn't an issue for 3-4 days. All appliances were in good working condition and the house comfortably slept us all (8 people). We didn't need to contact the rental agency, but a lot of information was given on how to do so. We would definitely stay here again!
