The Space:

Retreat@23B is a bright, single-level 2-bedroom home on a quiet Ōwhata street on Rotorua's eastern, lake side. The layout is open and easy, with the living, dining and kitchen flowing through full-height glass sliders onto a large covered deck.



The lounge centres on a generous corner sofa with a smart TV and ceiling-mounted heat pump for year-round comfort. A textured feature wall and raked ceiling give the room a designed feel without being precious.



The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering - full-size oven and cooktop, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster and pantry basics. A sunny dining nook seats four. Sliders open straight to the covered deck, with an outdoor dining table and BBQ - the best spot in the house from October through April.



The master bedroom sits at the front with a comfortable queen bed and garden outlook. The second bedroom has two single beds beneath a bold patterned feature wall - ideal for kids or friends sharing.



A modern bathroom with a spacious walk-in shower and generous vanity serves both rooms. A separate laundry holds the washer and dryer. The fully fenced section wraps around the house with lawn for kids or pets to spread out, and off-street parking sits right at the front door.



Linen and towels are included, along with the essentials to get you started.



Guest Access:

You have the whole house to yourselves, along with the covered deck, outdoor dining area, fenced lawn and garden, laundry, and off-street parking. There's no shared space and no hosts on-site - the property is yours for the duration of your stay.



The Neighborhood:

Ōwhata is a quiet, residential pocket on Rotorua's eastern side, a short hop from both Lake Rotorua's foreshore and the town centre. It feels local rather than touristy - parks, supermarkets, cafes and takeaways are all within a 5-10 minute drive.



You're well placed for the best of Rotorua: Hell's Gate geothermal park (5 min), Blue Lake (Tikitapu) and Green Lake walks (10 min), the Redwoods Treewalk and Whakarewarewa Forest mountain biking (10 min), Skyline Rotorua's gondola and luge (12 min), and the lake foreshore, Government Gardens and Polynesian Spa (8-10 min). Lake Tarawera and Te Wairoa Buried Village are about 25 minutes east.



Getting Around:

A car makes Rotorua's spread-out attractions easy - off-street parking is included at the property. The town centre is about 8 minutes away, Rotorua Regional Airport about 10 minutes, and most major attractions sit within a 10-15 minute drive. Local taxis and ride-share are reliable within the city if you'd rather not drive.
