Our stay reminded us of a hostel without a reception desk. We stayed in room#3, upstairs, with a private bath. We didn't get instructions on how to access the property until 3:40pm for a 4pm check in time. Just be aware you will not get communications from the host until it's almost time to check in. The common area was clean, our room and bathroom were clean. It's an older home, but we didn't experience any issues. Our room had both a window unit and a standing fan. It also looked like it had a larger space heater for colder months. You'll need eat plugs if you're a light sleeper as you can hear a bit of road noise from the highway and am active railyard. You can also hear the common dryer which is right outside another door of the room. The neighborhood is being revitalized with beautiful older homes. The area is safe. The description says the Pearl and Riverwalk are walkable and although technically correct, it's at least a mile to a mile and a half away by foot. Only disappointing issues were with our pillows (very flat and old looking) and comforter (also older and threadbare with a burn hole in one of the sides). If you need a stiffer pillow, consider bringing one or buying one local.

Hard to get to those hot spots, such as River Walk, Mexican Market , Pearl District and Time Machine Restaurant. Local map showing these hot spots could be very helpful. Property address should not be list as 1901 N 35 frontage road. For some unknown reasons ......navigation map took me to the other side of I-35 Frontage Road.

Instructions were vague and we requested not share housing. You pay what you get.

When I first booked the property it said nothing about the house having other tenants there. Along with the fact that the room I would be staying was upstairs. I just had surgery on my knee and couldn’t even make it up the stairs. False advertising all around. You will be sharing the house with other people, you have one room of the house, you share the as kitchen well. Definitely not what I was expecting.

We were happy with everything!! Everything was provided and we were comfortable. Only thing is that 2 of the the ubervdrivers asked if we felt safe in that area. IDK the area but I guess it's in a bad neighborhood? We didn't experience anything bad or notice anything. We would definitely stay again. Very close to downtown area. Starbucks is close by for morning coffee. Very happy with our stay!!

My girlfriend and I were looking for a place to stay in San Antonio and found this listing. For the price, location, and amenities, it was a steal! We are not sure if we didn’t look closely enough at the listing, but the place has multiple rooms that are rented out to others. So keep in mind there might be other guests during your stay. However, my girlfriend and I didn’t have any issues with other guests about noise or privacy. There’s also a train that passes by randomly so it might be an issue for light sleepers. The listing is also next to a freeway so keep that in mind. Nonetheless, the distance from anywhere you might want to visit is close! We didn’t have to drive more than 12 minutes to get to anywhere we were going! Some places were as close as 5 minutes away! It was a great stay. Will definitely recommend to others.
