Stayed Jun 27, 2025Unfortunately, as we pulled into the driveway we could see the 2 trash bins were already filled to the top. It was trash pickup day, but no one had taken the trash to the curb. This was supposed to be a quick vacation for two military families right before deployment. We had 4 adults, 2 10 y/o, and 3 more children with the youngest being 6 months. The kids had a blast. It was a short walk to the beach, and the property provided chairs and some beach amenities for use. The kids loved the loft/arcade room. The adults noticed that the floor was sandy and dirty the moment we walked in. When you have toddlers and infants, you tend to spend a lot of time staring at the floor. When we got ready for bed, we discovered that the sheets in the bedroom we were staying in had not been changed. There were hairs of various lengths/colors between the sheets, sand and debris down by the foot of the bed under the sheets, and black mascara looking stains on both pillowcases. I emailed the point of contact to let them know we were not happy with the condition of the house and the dirty sheets. To their credit, they did reply early in the morning and offer to send a cleaning crew over. I told them not to bother b/c we weren’t ready but she came anyway. I washed the sheets and the “stains” came out, meaning the sheets hadn’t been washed. With a cleaning fee of over 500, the cleanliness of the house was totally unacceptable. Would not recommend.
