Our Beautiful creek-side cottage is set in a woodland dream on an acre of cool hardwood forest mountain land. The cottage is vintage with modern upgrades. We kept the lovely hardwood floors and wormy chestnut wood walls, but modernized the kitchen. Cooking in this kitchen is a pleasure. Its spacious and well lit. You will love the butcher block counter tops and Italian natural stone floor. It is well equipped with new stainless steel appliances (refrig/freezer, gas stove, dishwasher), dishes and cookware. You will rest peacefully in our cozy cottage bedrooms. They are small cottage size, so we make up for it with very comfortable bedding. Included are high quality 100% cotton bed linens and alternative down duvets, medium firm gel foam beds.

For your peace of mind, our beautiful beds are protected with water proof mattress and pillow protectors as well as duvet covers which are changed between each guest stay. Two fluffy white cotton towels per guest. All our linens and towels are gleaming white so our guests can rest assured that everything is beautifully clean!

The chaise room is perfect for quiet time. Just sit back and enjoy the view from a room full of window above the forest.

Want to soak in the mountain air. We have some options. The back deck is private and situated among the treetops just outside the back door. A stone footpath leads to a magical place by the creek. This is a great place for morning coffee or evening wine. If you just have to work, the internet speed is 400.

Our cottage is in a coveted location less than one mile to Blue ridge Parkway entrance and a perfect launching pad for so many area activities. It is 7 minutes to downtown historic Waynesville, 30 min to Asheville, 30 min to Harrah's Cherokee casino and Cherokee Indian Reservation, easy access to Pisgah, Nantahala, Great Smokey Mountain National Forest, and the Appalachian Trail.

Access to the cottage is very easy on paved roads and gentle slopes that even a Prius can get to it without and effort.

I loved all the attention to small details that matched the cottage so well. Even though the cottage is small, it seems very roomy. The kitchen was well stocked and beautiful. The bed was comfortable and there were more than plenty towels for two to four people for a weekend. The only thing that was missing was a closet in one bedroom that was used for the stackable washer/dryer which made perfect sense to put it there.

The cottage was clean, cozy, and the heat worked well. The hosts came and blew off the porches, which was nice. We were disappointed that there was no patio heater because it was just broken. That was a big selling point of the cottage because the outside treehouse setting was something we were looking forward to but without the heater it was too cold to sit outside and enjoy the sounds of the creek. Overall it was a great stay and located so close to the Blue Ridge Parkway. I would definitely recommend.

Anna and Dave’s cottage is sweet. A beautiful fall get away for hiking and visiting our daughter. Plus the town is very quaint and offers a variety of artsy stores. The Woodstove was a bonus and the kitchen was well supplied for cooking. Unfortunately our stay was short, maybe another time. The host was excellent for any questions and very kind to let us return to retrieve a forgotten jacket;)

I’m sorry to say that the description and pictures did not mach the home. The “treehouse deck” was ok but the path to it needed lighting, it was so full of fallen branches we would have had to clean it first and the string lights didn’t work. The deck on the back of the house was in the same condition so we could not enjoy anytime outside. The inside of the house was ok though there was no room in the bathrooms for toiletries, the pans in the kitchen were very old and the TV was incredibly small. The whole house felt very old and stale smelling. The bed was very comfortable and the towels were great but overall I believe we were severely overcharged for what we received and were expecting. I have stayed in VBRO’s in my travels through the states and have never had to leave a negative review.

This little cottage was the perfect place for my husband and I. It felt like home away from home. Close to town, but far enough off the main road to be quiet. It was especially relaxing sitting outside listening to the stream.

I absolutely loved staying at this beautiful cozy home. The private deck down below with chairs and lights (and heater) is amazing!! The neighborhood is beautiful as well - I stayed alone and felt very safe. Love the location between Waynesville and Maggie valley.

The neighborhood and the house were everything you could ask for in the wooded, country setting just outside Waynesville and a hop skip and a jump from the Blue Ridge Parkway. Charming spot, two wonderful decks with a tree house feel!

Wonderful private location, but didnt feel 'unsafe' as a single female; beautiful kitchen- had anything I might need; great bedding, would be fun for winter stay as well. Close enough to town but still offered private 'forest' experience. Everything was very clean and orderly. Platform deck overlooking the creek was PERFECT for music and cocktail, as well as quiet reflection time. Great choice for a 'sabbath' spot or time with friends. Easy check in and out; got everything I needed from host with ease. Highly recommend.
