Everything was wonderful. Right on the river - lots of deer and wild turkey. Home was spacious and had lots of spices, games, products in case we forgot anything. Host was awesome - lots of tips and quick communication. Large rooms and dining table so we could all be together. Just a perfect getaway for a family. Memories made.
Our family enjoyed a very relaxing time here. This home is beautiful and in a very secluded location. There are so many different places to relax inside the house. We enjoyed the many books and puzzles. We did venture out for one day to visit Kriselle Cellars, Lillie Belle Farms Handmade Chocolates, Rogue Creamery Cheese Shop and Harry & David, which are all worth a visit. This was our first stay here, we hope to come back for some hiking and paddle-boarding.
Such a unigue home and setting.Had a great time here, as usual. Love the river, all the wildlife and the comforts of the home.
Wonderful, warm home. Enjoyed the extensive variety of books and the perfect quiet place to read them. Overall this was a great quality time with family. We hiked to a few waterfalls, rafted down the Rogue, fished and played card games.??
We always have a great stay at this property. We adventure around the area and love the riverfront. The house is well stocked with plenty of room.
Our family really enjoyed our stay at the property. We have a young child and it was great having the high chair snd pack n play provided.
Large outdoor space, lots of elbow room. Very quiet, with the mesmerizing sound of the Rogue River nearby. Spent most of the time outside on the large deck. House is well supplied with everything you need. Beds comfortable. Enough space indoors/outdoors to give everyone a private spot to relax in, if desired. Opsrey + other birds and deer on property for wildlife viewing. Watching rafters float by was also entertaining. A very nice place in a good location. Will consider visiting again in the future.
We loved our stay at this sweet Shady Cove home! Thank you for such wonderful accommodations, our gracious host Wendy has thought of everything - the house is fully stocked for you to come an enjoy. The home is very comfortable, with large open areas and nice sized bedrooms. But the main attraction for us was the location. Private and secluded but not too far from grocery shopping. This place has such a gorgeous river view and the walk down to the water among the wildflowers is magic. We fished from the river's edge and hiked about the property with our dogs. Thanks again for being so pet friendly, too! We'd love to stay again on our next Oregon road trip ?
We'll be back.
The road to get to the property was admittedly off the beaten path and confusing, but we made it and were super happy with our accomodations! There was ample parking and we loved the location along the river. We loved how spacious the property was and all agreed that out of the handful of Vrbos we've stayed in, it was one of our favorites thus far. I personally appreciated how quickly Wendy responded to questions I had.
Beautiful spot on the river. Was very relaxing place for a getaway
Great house to relax and enjoy wildlife. Well equipped and maintained.
Stayed 9 nights here in July/August 2022. House had great AC for the summer heat. We’re able to walk to the Rogue River. 10 mins to the fly shop and rafting adventures. Place was like a home away from home, had all the necessities to cook your own meals. All the internet TV options. Great patio and BBQ. Loved it.
This was our second trip to the property. It's very relaxing, enjoyed the house, the wildlife and of course the river. We lucked out with no fires this year! Thanks Wendy for another great stay!
Such a sweet property! The two of us, and our small dog enjoyed our July 4th weekend at this charming Rogue River front home. It was clean, provided ample space and was terrifically appointed. We’ve never seen a kitchen so well equipped! We saw wildlife every day. Including a rafter of Turkey, and a doe with her 2 fawn, and numerous birds of prey. Highly recommend.
My husband and I brought our girls, age 4 and 2. We met up with my cousin with their 3 month old baby amd 2 yr. Old. The house was incredibly perfect. Childproof , with all the lovely decorations up high so we could relax and not chase them everywhere. Even the layout of the house was conducive to two separate families with slightly different schedules. Kitchen was so well stocked with cooking supplies, even had small touches like pancake mix since we forgot ours. Plus there were movies and a wii and lots of batteries to replace the dead ones. We lacked nothing! Would love to come again.
Thank you Wendy for a wonderful stay. The place felt like home! Has everything you need. We will definitely stay again when in the area!
We enjoyed listening to the river and watching the deer graze. It did get very hot but cooled down at night. The home is very nice, we’ll equipped, and comfortable once it cools. I never expected Oregon to be 105 degrees.
We enjoyed our stay very much. The most outstanding feature was the beautiful river front property- so nice to sit out on the deck and just soak in all the nature. The house was very nice too- laid out well for our family. We were not able to spend as much time here as we would have liked due to wedding obligations, but would have been quite comfortable hanging out at the house. Thanks!
Very clean with views of the river. Would have been nice to have chairs to take down to river. Also needs placemats to protect the beautiful table. Coasters to as the furniture is very nice. We used the barbeque three nights but one of the burners didn't work, it needs a little care. Great washer/dryer.
Was a great house and very clean. The wildlife runs thick in the yard and very nice to see. Had a great time and hope to return in the summer.
This is a big spacious house in a magical setting. It’s the best stocked rental unit I have ever seen. They had EVERYTHING you would need and extra supplies to boot. Fully stocked kitchen, lots of cleaning supplies, games and books, even a 1st aid kit. Wendy was extremely receptive and answered text messages immediately. The house is easy to manage and prepare meals. The huge living room is inviting and relaxing. The views are amazing and the experience is very relaxing. It’s a long drive in from the main highway up and down a dirt road, but after the first experience it was fine. There is a good food market 12 minutes away in Shady Cove. I would definitely come back in a flash. Highest praise for this place.
