A 10-minute drive to Sample Gates and 15 minutes to IU Stadium, our unit is a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom half of a duplex (right side). Located in the south-central part of town, this home is a quick walk to the B-line Trail & Switchyard Park and a short car ride to I-69 or downtown Bloomington. It is also less than 20 minutes to the new IU health hospital, 20 minutes to Lake Monroe, and ~30 minutes to McCormick's Creek State Park and Brown County for those nature lovers.

Stayed May 8, 2025Some helpful pictures of the property were not included in this listing. One of the pictures we have of the property features a rusting car parked in front of the house, a staircase that is not properly maintained, and an overall lack of care put into the unit (broken blinds in front windows, door that looked unkempt). Going through the backdoor of the property into the backyard, there is an old, discarded mattress leaning against the house and door. Inside the unit, despite multiple visible postings of ‘no smoking, no vaping’, the unit reeked of smoke and potential mold/mildew. The overall appearance and odors from the unit made it untenable for us to stay in the property, causing us to have to find other arrangements during graduation weekend over 1 hour away from Bloomington. The property manager did not address our concerns about the unit. In their original message, they told us that if we could not provide a 5-star rating, we should reach out. We did and received a pre-written request to rate the unit 5 stars. If the front or back of the unit had been shown on the VRBO listing, we would have not rented the unit at all. Communication with the manager was minimal. The neighborhood itself is not all that bad, but the unit stands out as unkempt and potentially unsafe for health, given the overwhelming odor of the unit.

Stayed Sep 27, 2024The place met all the expectations we had. The proximity to all Bloomington was excellent. For 6 70 year old fraternity brothers this place was the center of a very enjoyable reunion and a great Hoosier victory.

Stayed Sep 8, 2023We stayed here during IU parents' weekend, and it was a great place for our family to rest up on a busy weekend.
