Rocky River: Amenity-Packed, Riverfront Retreat, 8-Person Hot Tub/Sport Court.

Celebrated two high school graduates with 16 people, and our 8 grandkids had a blast in the water. Some of the float vessels had small leaks, so be sure to check things out in the shallow before heading down river. The space was phenomenal for our large group; plenty of space to get away from “too much peopling”, while there were lots of play options. The upholstery is in need of replacement, but mattresses we’re comfortable and provided a nice rest

Everything about this cabin is amazing. Came with my church Men’s group and will all loved it. The owners were very friendly and helpful and amazing to deal with. Will highly recommended and will be coming back.

The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking. Communication with host was great. We didnt give 5 stars becayse the couches were relatively old and worn and there was an accumulation of visible dust on the celing fans. The location was as pictured, with the river sounds nicely adding to good sleep! Overall the space was goid andcwe especialky lijed the open connections between kitchen, dining and den areas.

This is the second time I've taken a group to stay at this location. We reserved both this one and Riverstone. Both trips have been fantastic experiences.

We had a great time! The water was so fun, the house was so cozy, and it was the perfect Christmas getaway. The owners were responsive and we appreciated their willingness to help!

This was our second stay at Rocky River Lodge, and it was every bit as wonderful as the first! We rented both cabins with my side of the family and had such an amazing time together. The setting is just perfect—nestled in the mountains and right on the river. We spent our days canoeing, kayaking, and tubing, and our evenings roasting s’mores around the fire and laughing together under the stars.It’s such a special place for making family memories, and we’re already talking about when we can come back again. Everything was clean, cozy, and beautifully maintained, and the owners clearly put a lot of care into making it a welcoming getaway. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a peaceful and fun mountain escape!

This place is beyond fantastic! The view of the water is unbelievable, the place on the creek to swim and tube is terrific, and there are loads of activities. This is a gem of place to stay!Literally the only downside I can think of was that we couldn’t figure out how to get good old fashioned cable on any of the TV’s. There were like 900 bizarre channels but the classic cable TV package could not be found, so trying to watch playoff baseball and football required a laptop and an HDMI cord.That’s literally the only low note I’ve got - I’d stay here again in a heartbeat.

Our family of 17 stayed at Rocky River for the first time this past weekend, for a 4 day, 3 night trip, our first family trip in 10 years. Our stay was absolute perfection! The lodge easily accommodated us (the grandparents), 3 sets of parents, each with 3 children - ages infant to 18 years. We all slept very comfortably, in our own space. The lodge is stunning, with everything we needed. We brought food and drink, including the makings for smores by the firepit. Although it was cold (of course), a few of our crew got in and thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful river, both swimming around in it and then taking the littles out one at a time, in the canoe that was provided with the lodge. We enjoyed everything the ideal home had to offer and the memories our family made will last lifetimes. We can't thank the owners enough, for sharing their home with others, to allow us this special time as a family. No one wanted to leave and we are already trying to pick a date for next year's trip for an even longer stay!There is absolutely no way to be disappointed in choosing to stay at Rocky River.

Yes we enjoyed the Scenic view everything was great except some of the throw pillows and the big swingon the patio was filthy. We had to flip over the padding in order to sit on it. I left a cardboard box inside the house we forgot to remove it I apologize for that.We was on the road when I realized we forgot to put it on the back on the truck. We cleaned the house and put everything back like we found it.Thank you for sharing your home with my family Lawanda

The cabin was clean and had a lot of activities to keep our group entertained throughout our trip. Will definitely visit again!!

Everything about this day was wonderful. The facility is great. It’s clean. The kitchen is well stocked and maintained. All of the information is up-to-date and very thorough and the homeowner is a pleasure to deal with. I would strongly recommend this property.

We had such an awesome time!

We definitely enjoyed our stay. There were beds for 7 adults and 8 kids and plenty of room for everyone to spread out. The location on the river was perfect for the kids (ages 5 - 16)... beach area, shallow water and deep water. We were able to float down the river and come out at the house. We enjoyed both the short and long floats down the river. The hot tub was a nice plus. The hosts were very helpful and answered our questions and requests quickly. We are hoping to come back again next summer! We would definitely recommend this cabin.

We had a wonderful time. Plenty of activities at the property which was great since it rained some every day. Lots of activities in the area including fishing, rafting, hiking seeing waterfalls including Amicalola Falls, nice restaurants like the Roof. It was very relaxing and all 17 of us had space to spread out. The owners were very helpful and contacted us on our. Very nice and informative about the area. It was exactly what we all wanted. Wonderful home on the river with lots of room. Enjoyed the hot tub and pool table and the river was beautiful. Lots of amenities and the owners were wonderful to communicate with.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay. There was 14 of us that stayed three nights for a prayer summit. It was beautiful, inside and out! There were plenty of kitchen items, and the layout worked well for us! The kitchen supported several woman cooking and prepping, with lots of counter space! The water was amazing and we enjoyed the river and all the animals! The owners were very communicative and helpful!! We would definitely use the home again!!

The cabin was well suited for our big group of friends. The big hot tub, basketball court, volleyball court, and the river provided us with lots to do outside on top of the spacious inside area. The house was well stocked with kitchen items and lots of beds. No regular, unbroken ping pong balls were available though.

Beautiful property that was exactly as it was described. So many amenities that we did not have to spend our time finding things to do. We had a wonderful day and a great family memory was made.

We spent Thanksgiving week here. It was a wonderful time in a beautiful setting. It’s hard to imagine needing anything else.

Amazing property! Floating in the river on the various water vessels provided was the highlight for me, personally. It was an incredibly relaxing vacation and the scenery was beyond beautiful

We enjoyed the cabin. We found some fun things to do in the area. It takes a very long time to get to the house from the front gate but there isn’t anything you can do about that. The river was beautiful to watch and listen to and we spent a good bit of time in the cold water. Our growing family was able to comfortably stay in the rooms and have our own space while also able to be together in the common areas. We planned to leave a better score but ran into some problems after our stay. We were charged for things and spoken to disrespectfully. A teenage member of our family is non-verbal and has special needs. When she first saw the river, she was very excited and jumped up and down on the balcony really hard. Immediately following her jump, the lights globe below her crashed to the floor. We thought it was already loose, voluntarily told the owners that it broke, and planned to pay for the broken piece. When speaking to the man who owns the cabin, he told us multiple times that what happened didn’t actually happen and that they replaced the entire fan so we would be paying for the entire fan/light kit plus labor. Everything we did was done w/ integrity but it seems like Ian has some trust issues with visitors. He all but called us liars. Sarah did a great job making us feel welcome and communicating while we were at the cabin. We were excited to find a place that we could return to year after year but we don’t plan to get tangled up with Ian again.

We had 16 people total, 5 adults and 11 kids. We could have stayed the entire weekend and never left the cabin, it was better than we could have imagined, plenty of room, games to play and even tho it was cold the river was a blast! We will definitely be back!

Wow! Just wow! This place is incredible! The direct private access to the river provided our group with hours upon hours of fun! We felt like it was all the best parts of camping without having to “rough it.” The bedrooms on three different stories of the cabin gave each family some personal space while still feeling connected and open. The kitchen is fully stocked and had everything we needed to make lots of family meals. There is something for everybody here! Our littles enjoyed playing in the warm sun along the sandy river shore, our older kids spent hours tubing, rock hopping and rope swinging into the river and playing volleyball and basketball. The adults enjoyed fishing, kayaking, relaxing in the hammock swings and soaking in the hot tub. Our entire group drove to the tubing out in spot and tubed 2 hours down the river which was a blast. We were so thankful for the special memories made in such a gem of a location!

Once again we spent a wonderful weekend at Rocky River. It's the perfect place for a group gathering. There's ample space for all to spread out, and also enjoy meal times together. This year the weather wasn't so great but we didn't mind hanging around the well appointed cabin. Sarah and Ian are the perfect hosts and will do everything they can to help with anything that might come up. We keep on coming back every year because it's a perfect fit for our group. I highly recommend Rocky River for your next family gathering.

Our church brought our young adult group here for a weekend of rest and it did not disappoint! The property and cabin were perfect. Everything inside and out was just spotless. Ian was very responsive and helpful when I reached out with a couple of questions. It exceeded all expectations!! It is the perfect spot for a retreat weekend. We will be returning!

We had a bunch of friends get together to enjoy a relaxing weekend, and there were zero complaints. Communication and check in were a breeze. The house was clean and packed with amenities. We would definitely stay here again without a second thought.
