Rockwood is a lovely and unique Tahoe home that will give you a taste of California's rich history. Step out onto the large deck and enjoy the serenity of the mountains and a filtered lake view in a lovely neighborhood. With special, old western artifacts throughout, this themed home provides a cozy stay any time of year! Upgraded kitchen features gourmet, commercial style Wolfe gas range under vaulted ceiling and plenty of counter space for those who like to cook. Living area boasts a large wood burning stove, plenty of plush seating, a new, internet ready 50 Sony 3D HDTV, and reading/sitting nook under the stairs.

Full bath and bedroom with Queen bed on entry level. 2 Single beds in loft upstairs, 3/4 bath, and back master bedroom with King and small TV plus storybook window alcove.

Great grassy area for the kids, and propane BBQ for the chef! Includes use of Homeowner's Association Lakeside Picnic area and shared pier for loading & unloading your boat. CFIA beach is about a half mile from the home.

Wireless internet also available (but not guaranteed!)

Please note, this home is on a hill, so All Wheel Drive/4WD/chains are highly recommended in the winter!
Parking is limited to 4 spaces.

- Minimum age to rent: 25
- None of our properties have AC unless mentioned elsewhere
- Winter access: Chains or snow tires are often required in winter
- BBQs (propane) are not provided during winter (November–Memorial Day). Charcoal grills are banned in our area.
- Firewood is not supplied during the summer months (Memorial Day through October)
- Shampoo/conditioner/bodywash are not included
- Most have supplies like flour, sugar, salt & spices, but these are not guaranteed items
- We do not provide additional towels for beach use and encourage renters to bring them for summer stays
- For all dog-friendly properties, there is an additional fee of $100+tax per dog.
- Placer County STR rules: The county of Placer implemented a new Short Term Rental Ordinance which is very important for guests to abide by. Fines range from $1,500- 5,000 and can be issued to guests who are not in compliance. A full list of rules is attached as a photo in this listing.
Some Highlights include: Quiet hours are from 9pm to 8am. No noise shall be heard across property lines. No outdoor speakers or amplified sound are to be used at any time. Dogs must be leashed at all times when outside a property, and all pet waste must be picked up. Street parking is prohibited year-round.
