Stayed Apr 5, 2026Beautiful house in a beautiful location. You can see the JTNP entrance from the backyard. The pool was a nice respite from the heat, just be prepared to skim it when you use it. The host was super communicative. Overall, one of the most enjoyable rentals we've ever done.

Stayed Mar 24, 2026Unique stay with historic house nestled into the rocky mountainside and only few minutes to the park entrance!! Such a delight to hang out outside under the coveted dining area or the balcony or the hammock! Adorable quails running through, too! As noted, the gas grill and fire pit are finicky but we got them to work. Would love to come back again when the pool is open. Thank you!

Stayed Mar 14, 2026Very lovely house, but the property is what we came for! Rock scrambling, enjoying the scenery, watching wildlife was what made this place perfection. The drive to the park is quick, or you can hike over the mountain in the back and find yourself in the park that way! Loved the place and would definitely come back in the future.

Stayed Feb 21, 2026Rockhill Ranch is wonderfully situated, just outside Joshua Tree Nationial Park. The location is very private and the outside space is extensive, well-kept and full of wildlife. The interior is charming, and well-stocked with amenities and local information. This was our fourth visit and we hope to be back.

Stayed Feb 16, 2026This was the most perfectly curated home we have ever stayed in. The attention to detail was impeccable. From the assortment of coffees, teas, and cocoas, to cozy blankets everywhere, a little holder for your rings, and even a sweet tray to carry your drinks to whatever of the comfortable rooms you choose to chill in, they truly thrive if everything to make it comfortable and cozy. There were games, brochures on things to do, beautiful lamps and lighting, and a selection of awesome dvds to choose from. And that’s not even talking about the sweet little gift they left us, or the view that is second to none! The hosts were kind, efficient, thoughtful, and just lovely. Joshua Tree has long been out happy place, but this stay was the best yet. So many thanks and so much love to you!

Stayed Oct 17, 2025This property is set amid beautiful landscape, and was incredibly comfortable and well-equipped. We enjoyed walking among the rocks, sitting on the upstairs balcony in the morning, and the cozy seating in the rock-room for family movie nights. My husband has health issues, so we can't hike like we used to, and this was a nice little slice of Joshua Tree and nature that was very accessible. There is comfortable seating placed throughout the property, so you can enjoy the lounge chairs by the pool or seats further up among the rocks. The beds were comfortable, and there is a lot of attention to detail. (Lots of blankets for sitting outside under the stars, for example.) The location was perfect-- close to town and the park. Like most JT properties it is up a dirt road, but we found it very easy to navigate in our little Prius, and well maintained compared to other roads in the area. We also really enjoyed the design touches and art placed throughout the home. I would definitely stay here again.

Stayed Sep 22, 2025Property is amazing and so many details are taken care of. Whenever we thought we would need something, we'd check a drawer or a shelf and it was there. We had a great time and really appreciate the communication with the host!

Stayed Mar 22, 2025From the moment we arrived we could tell this place was special. Over the 4 days we stayed, there was always something new and exciting to discover. The property had everything we needed, and more. Indoors and out the property was clean and well maintained. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed and the outdoor grills were very nice. We had some special meals here and enjoyed sitting on the huge outdoor table under the covered patio. The view is amazing and the property is remote and secluded with lots of privacy. Good Wi-Fi, nice bathrooms, nice furniture, great little Bluetooth stereo and big DVD collection, TVs in every room, nicely decorated, little library of books/guides for local activities and wildlife. Surrounding activities were fun with JTNP, Pioneertown, Yucca Valley, and the town of Joshua Tree. Lots of nice shops, restaurants, groceries and coffee. You can't go wrong with this property. If we're lucky enough we plan to return again in the future. Thanks so much to the hosts for being helpful and sharing their wonderful property with us.

Stayed Oct 10, 2024RockHill sits in an incredible cove of rocks that define Jashua Tree. The house is spacious, beautifully decorated and well appointed. Jamie was so gratious to us and went out of her way to help find a lost package. We even had Big Horn Sheep visit us one morning during breakfast!
