This property is the perfect location for getting away to visit Sequoia National Park. We were close enough for an easy drive into the park, yet far enough from the highway you wouldn't even know it was there. The property is very private and far back on the road that we only saw a few cars in the fours days we were there. The property has a lot to offer, we fished, played horseshoes, picked flowers for the house, played on the swings, and the kids did their version of a cold plunge in the river. This would be a very nice swimming hole in the summer when the water warms up. We really enjoyed the sounds of the river, this is all you hear the whole time, nothing else. The property was very pleasant, and we had peaceful time staying there. I would definitely recommend it to anyome staying in this area.

Steve was great to work with, very responsive with communication. Property is beautiful. We traveled with our small children and they loved the swings and playing near the river (we were always with our children when they were outside, there is no fence or gate near the river so I don’t recommend young ones go outside unattended!). Beds were comfortable and we loved the open space in the living room. Quick drive to Sequoia Ash Mountain entrance and about an hour and 15min from General Sherman Tree. Overall our stay was wonderful and I highly recommend this home to families looking to spend a few nights in a peaceful location.

Ideal, quiet & peaceful setting! Cute 1950s vibe house - very comfortable. Nice off-line activities: horse shoes, wonderful big butt swings, tic-tac-toe, just goofing around by/in the river. There is a screen door off the master bedroom that allows you to sleep with the sound of the water.I would not recommend this property for folks with mobility issues. There is no rail on the steps or along the raised stepping stones up to the house. Also, the shower is sunken - you have to go down a couple of steps. If mobility isn't a problem for you, this property is beautiful!

The whole property is huge, with tons of space to explore and spread out. It felt like our own private nature retreat.Steve, the host, was awesome. Just an aweome place. Perfect. You feel like you are in your own world here. House is a charming mid century and totally clean and comfy. Cool original decor and windows etc. The grounds are sweet with large Oaks and Sycamores, along with many orchard and pine trees. Steve told us to help ourselves to the white grapefruit in abundance so that was a bonus breakfast! Kids love the river, perfect temp and flow for them (about 4-5'), and caught a few fish there as well (just used worms). Highly recommend the property, as well as the owner is super easy to deal with. Its a small road out to the property and probably only had 6 cars go past each day. Completely quiet and exceeded my expectation. The pics do not do it justice!

We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful home! The house itself is stunning, with a peaceful, stylish interior and an unbeatable view overlooking the river below. But the real star is the river—it’s absolutely breathtaking. We spent every chance we got swimming, lounging, and just soaking in the serenity of the water and surrounding nature. The location is also perfect. The town of Three Rivers is just a quick 10-minute drive away, making it easy to run out for groceries or grab a bite when we didn’t feel like cooking. We’re already planning to come back next summer—and likely every summer after that. Highly recommend this property to anyone looking for beauty, comfort, and a magical connection to nature.

This was a really excellent place. Cozy, light filled and charming space. Big windows and sliding doors make for lovely indoor and outdoor ways to enjoy the river view and nature’s surround sound. Great birdwatching. Acorn woodpeckers, wild turkeys, black phoebes, ducks and more. Location is private but only a short drive to town. Easy drive to Sequoia national Park. Great communication and service from Steve. Excellent WiFi and great big dining table for games and dinners. All rooms are on a single floor for anyone with accessibility needs. There are a couple of low steps to get from the parking area into the house and the main deck/patio/porch is a flat walk out. There is also a unique shower that I’ve not seen before. It is a walk in, but there are steps down into the shower. Just something to be aware of for folks with certain mobility needs. All in all, this is a great space for a couple, a few friends or a family with a couple of kids. It’s an amazing space for birders and MCM house enthusiasts. And they have a grapefruit tree!Bonus - the sound of rushing river the comfy beds made us all sleep really well!!!

Upon arrival, the driveway entrance was covered in trash due to a local bear, apparently. The grounds surrounding the house are not maintained. My impression was that whoever owns this place doesn’t see the need to clean. The inside of the house is run down and very dated. Again, the owner clearly won’t spend a few bucks to tidy things up. The shower was horrible. The shower head was so low that I had to bend over in order to get wet. To add insult to injury, there wasn’t enough hot water for 2 people to shower. Taking a cold shower was the dealbreaker. In short, I’ll never return to this dump in the middle of nowhere. I spent a lot of money to rent this house. My wife and I booked 2 nights. We only stayed one night. I couldn’t suffer through another night. We flushed several hundred dollars down the toilet and got the hell out of Dodge.
