Riverfront cabin on Rock River

The fenced in yard was excellent for our dog to roam and still be safe from the river. The entire house so extremely clean and so comfy!! The fishing off the dock wa an added bonus. My son, daughter in law, and I had so much fun, and it was so relaxing for my mom.

The property was very private and the cabin itself was beautifully furnished and very comfortable

We loved everything about this property. My wife liked it so much that she wanted to stay forever!!! It was the perfect size for us and our 2 dogs. Our dogs loved the fenced in yard and would watch the water fowl swim by all day.The home has all the amenities that you could ask for while on vacation and the owner communicated in advance everything we needed to know about the property. We would highly recommend this property to any looking for quiet place on the river, where you can fish, watch the bald eagles fly by or just sit in the backyard and relax with your family. The host, Bill, was very helpful and friendly. I enjoyed the property and my 2 little Yorkies loved running in the fenced in backyard.I would highly recommend this rental.

We loved the design of the home itself as well as the view of the river right out the backyard. The fenced in yard proved perfect for our dogs, maybe the best rental setup we had as far as convenience for them. We could just let them outdoors by themselves with no problem. I really enjoyed being able to observe life on the river too. Nice place, especially for the price! Good bang for your buck.

Charming, clean and comfortable house right on the beautiful rock river. We enjoyed morning coffee on the porch, setting up our fishing poles on the dock and enjoying the beautiful scenery. We look forward to visiting again next year.

Communication with the host was great. The property is nice and clean and pet friendly.. There's a lot of places to go and good restaurants in the area. Unfortunately they're having a drought and the water was very low. The nearest public boat launch is 7 miles away. We heard shooting at the range but it's not that noticeable. I would be remiss if I didn't mention the fact that this property is on a flyover path from the airport. The planes were very low and noisy. There was also alot of yard work going on in the neighborhood our second full day and all we could hear was mowers, blowers, and weed eaters all day long. It was not a quiet or relaxing stay. None of this is the owners fault but beware of these issues if you stay here. It's a lovely property otherwise.

A comfortable stay, relaxing on the Rock River, with nearby forest preserves to enjoy. We especially enjoyed the three season porch and took advantage of BBQ grill. Be sure the location works for what you want to do, though driving into Rockford is easy. Owner is engaging and made sure we were comfortable; he was readily available if we had questions.

Relaxing atmosphere. Aesthetically pleasing. Our 2 dogs loved it! It was like staying at a friends house and the host, Bill, is like that friend! Bill was thorough with the check-in/check-out processes information. Very welcoming! We will definitely return! Rockford area was our home for over 30 years. It was so nice to be able to return with such a pleasant place to stay.

Awesome quaint cabin. Exactly like it was pictured. The private fenced yard at the rivers edge was amazing and perfect for the furbaby. Our host was welcoming and friendly. I have already recommended this property to friends. If we were closer we would return in a heart beat! It gas much more to offer than what is described!

Very cute house, my wife was very happy staying there. Very quiet neighborhood we all enjoyed sitting in the back yard. We saw deer, geese, and ducks along the river. Very peaceful. I would stay again!

I have stayed in lots of places. I think this was the cleanest & its such a pretty location, with a fenced yard right on the river. The owner Bill was very friendly & helpful, gave us lots of good recommendations.

Bill was an incredible host and was easy to communicate with. The property is super cute and clean, and there is everything you could possibly need available to you. This was the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the river views. I would highly recommend this house!

It's a great place to stay, and we've been there before with our friends. Sometimes they get talking about religion, and it all starts circling the drain. Next winter, I hope we can stay again, but not with them, just us and our dog. Thanks Bill!

We loved it the moment we arrived. We spent two nights there with our Frieds and their little dog (we have a little dog too). Great fenced in yard and cozy porch. The kitchen Is stocked with everything you need, we brought lasagna, steak, crab legs. Comfy beds too. We will go back for sure!

Its a quiet neighborhood for the most part (some shooting activities nearby) Home is clean, has most of everything you need for a long stay, and pretty easy to find even if you miss the first turn!

The access to the river was what drew us to stay I would have liked to be able to get the kayak in the water ( weather didn’t cooperate).

What a great little getaway. We “lived” in the porch and backyard and enjoyed just watching the river flow. There was quite a bit of gun noise from the gun range during our stay but the owner did mention this in listing. Quiet little neighborhood!

Favorite part of rental is secure gated backyard so dogs were contained and within sight while we were on the dock. And we caught a fish! Everything others say is true about this place. Enjoyed many local forest preserves to hike. Definitely would return

We had a great stay at the riverfront cabin on the Rock River. Loved the 3 season room and the house was so cozy. Bill was an awesome host. The personal phone call prior to our arrival to explain about the house and the area was great. We also had a bad storm come through one night and he was on the spot to help us. Not sure what we would have done without him. We would most definitely stay again.

This was the perfect getaway. The 3 seasons room was a great spot to relax, while watching the river, sipping wine, and reconnecting with old friends. Would 100% stay here again and my friends and I are already discussing coming back in the fall.
