RIVERBEND RETREAT. Riverfront home on the Bear River with private swimming hole!

Our experience at Riverbend Retreat was excellent upon arrival to departure. We couldn’t have asked for anything more to make our stay a complete success. Everything was furnished and ready for us to enjoy our Thanksgiving feast with our grown kids and grandkids. The sound of the river in the backyard with a spectacular view was the icing on the cake or pumpkin pie!

Pics don’t do this justice. A wonderful property with everything you could possibly need. The whole family wanted to stay in vs going out to do activities. Definitely recommend to get away and enjoy some peaceful time right at natures doorstep.

Everything about our stay was perfect. The house was very well stocked and it seemed like they thought of everything. We had an amazing, relaxing weekend.

We had such a great time at this Auburn riverfront home! The location was perfect — peaceful, beautiful, and right on the water. The kids loved fishing (catch and release, so more like feeding the fish!) while we enjoyed the quiet setting. Evenings on the deck were the perfect way to end the day. The house was clean, comfortable, and well-stocked with everything we needed. A wonderful spot to relax and recharge — highly recommend!

My family and our dog stayed at Jennifer's Riverbend Retreat for my birthday weekend and fell in love with it. The house was stocked and very comfortable for the six of us. The swimming hole was fun to float around in. I thoroughly enjoyed the small waterfalls upstream. Omg so beautiful! The waterfall sound added to the entire relaxing experience. We spent most of our time and meals on the deck that overlooked the river. Thank you Jennifer for sharing your very special spot and we definitely look forward to returning again someday!

This is my third year visiting this beautiful home. The house itself is a lovely home, equipped with everything you could possibly need. The house is always spotlessly clean, and the beds are very comfortable. The river is delightful, and we spend most of our time swimming and relaxing. The host is amazing, making check in and out super easy and always leaves thoughtful snacks and notes. Super responsive as well if you need anything during your stay (which is unlikely given that everything you could possibly need is there already). Though this is not too far from downtown Auburn, you feel totally secluded in the best of ways. This is by far my favorite vacation home I have ever rented!

This home is very spacious, clean, and comfortable. It seemed like the owners thought of everything. The kitchen is even better equipped than our own! Everyone loved the swimming hole (water was cool but comfortable in afternoons in June); just know if you have mobility issues the short trail leading to it is somewhat steep and rocky. It wasn't a problem for us, though. We also enjoyed the other trails meandering throughout the property. I particularly enjoyed just sitting on the huge balcony deck, watching the turkey vultures and ravens glide across the sky. No complaints; only happy memories. Beautiful property!

Our stay at Riverbend Retreat was nothing short of exceptional. It was one of, if not the nicest property we’ve ever had the pleasure of staying in. The tranquil riverfront setting provided the perfect backdrop for relaxation. The house itself was beautifully appointed and incredibly comfortable, feeling more like a home than a rental. We were particularly impressed by the well-equipped kitchen. It was a pleasant surprise to find it stocked with quality cookware and utensils, making meal preparation a breeze. This allowed us to fully enjoy our time at the house, whether we were cooking a gourmet meal or a simple snack. The property’s private river access was a highlight of our stay. The serene riverfront was just steps away, offering endless opportunities for relaxation and recreation. We couldn’t have asked for a more peaceful and rejuvenating vacation. Highly recommend!

Very thoughtful hosts thinking of every detail to ensure their guests are cozy and have all they need. The beds were super comfy and warm, with the bedrooms stocked with extra blankets and pillows. We loved the kitchen and cozy living room. Our favorite place was to sit on tue deck and enjoy the river and scenery. We will be back!

House was very comfortable and complete with everything you’d need, including many thoughtful details. We enjoyed sitting on the deck listening to the river and floating on the river. Our dogs loved it too! Host was quick to respond when I had questions. A great stay!

The house was spotless and bigger than what we had imagined. The instructions to get there were right on point. It was so close to the river that it felt we could touch it. We had a difficult 1/2 of the year as a family, and this was our time to relax and reset. It was peaceful and so beautiful - exactly what we needed. We didn't want to come back. The owners thought of everything. There was nothing that we needed to contact them for because we had everything and more - towels to go to the river, inflatable tubes, etc. We would recommend this property to anyone. In actuality, I’d say a home I’d like to call my home. Beautifully located by the Bear River, the very clean and modernized home boasted some great amenities for and felt like a luxury hotel in many ways. To top it off, you enjoyed a private body of water directly on the back of the home that really gave you a private area to frolic in the cool water under a blazing sun. I highly recommend this place and hope that we get the chance to visit this place again.

We REALLY enjoyed our stay. The house is excellent, the AC was nice and cold during a heat wave, and the hosts have seemingly thought of everything. The house was super clean, comfortable, and well appointed, especially in the kitchen. The view and the quiet are top notch and the private swimming hole was absolutely amazing. We spend almost our entire time there. Should you need to go into town, it's not far away. Loved the old magazines and books, as well as the solid DVD collection. Wifi worked great, but no Verizon cell service. Overall, we had a great time and this was one of the best places we have rented to date. Would definitely stay again and totally recommend it. Also, Jennifer was a very responsive host. What are you waiting for, just book it already!
