River View Retreat Taupo

Stunning property, beautifully clean and perfect for a family. Travelling with 6 adults and a child, we found this lovely house provided an abundance of space, gorgeous views directly overlooking the Waikato River and an immediate feeling of luxurious relaxation. An easy 20 minute stroll along the river to town and the lakefront, and being in a private court it is super quiet. While the house is not in the middle of town, which we knew when we booked, the location is so picturesque and the house so comfortable that we had no issues with needing to drive 5 minutes to the CBD if the weather was poor. The kitchen had everything we needed and love the inclusion of cooking essentials like oil, herbs/spices and quality cookware. We visited during Spring with cool nights, and used the thoughtfully provided plug in heaters in the bedrooms, with the fireplaces and once we worked out how it worked, the gas heating kept it cosy in the living areas. We loved our stay and will be back without a doubt - highly recommend staying here if you have the chance.

Great location to spend some relaxing downtime while on a golfing trip. Chilling on the deck by the river was very enjoyable.

Great place

We were a group of 8 friends meeting in Taupo for the concert. Despite the weather we had a fantastic time and the property was perfect with different spaces for all to enjoy both indoors and out under cover. The house was exceptionally clean and we would definitely recommend to all.

Ideal location for a family stay with 8 adults.

We had a family group (7 adults) stay at the house & it was so nice to have such accommodating living spaces where we weren't on top of each other. The setting with the outlook to the river is beautiful, you don't even notice the neighbours either side & it's a nice walk along the river & into town. The beds were super comfy & everything was exceptionally clean. Thanks to the wonderful property managers for returning goods left behind!

Overall a great property. Good space and location. Just need the cleaners to look up ... spiders in many corners. Also three tvs but not one connected to regular TV stations to watch news etc. A dish and Freeview would fix this easily. Little things I know but it's the little things that matter at this standard of place.

Loved our stay - the place is bigger and better than the pics suggest! Swimming in the river was such a highlight - its perfectly clear and not that cold as its come out of the lake so i guess has warmed slightly. So much cool stuff to see and do nearby. Our only issue was check in - the main road gate key code entry system is very tricky to navigate, once you know how its fine but I feel this needs explaining on the check-in docs. We had to get a neghbour to get us in then when we spoke to the property manager later on phone she explained it. A simple thing to change to make peoples arrival nicer. Really enjoyed and would reccommend.

We had a wonderful stay at this riverside home. The views across the river are simply stunning!

Amazing three night stay in a beautiful home with a wonderful view. The only improvement we would recommend is having a larger barbeque with a hot plate, considering the size of the house & potential number of guests
