We stayed in this home for three nights this past week. The listing shows and describes a vastly different property than what we discovered upon arrival. The only accurate part of the listing is that of the kitchen. The rest of the home was clean, but definitely not updated or elegant. It's located in a random neighborhood on a densely populated narrow street of unkept homes on the river, and was quite noisy at times. The sunken hot tub featured on the listing photo doesn't exist. The property is overgrown with trees and bamboo, and we could barely even see the river from the deck. The hot tub looked clean but the chlorine smell was too overpowering. The entire outdoor space was covered in dead leaves, the BBQ was filthy, outdoor cushions were moldy, and the descent down to the river was covered in brush and leaves. It was steep, slippery and treacherous with no handrail to hold on to. The boat dock is just floating plywood with no way to secure a kayak or human trying to get in or out of the water. Two kayaks were under the deck stored amongst other junk. The cozy fireplace was non-functioning with a decorative fake log centerpiece inside. Two of the bedroom fan chains were broken and stuck on high all the time. It's now obvious as to why there are no street view pictures or current river view pictures of the property in the listing. We will never book with this management company again. We grossly overpaid and they under-delivered.
We enjoyed the comfortable home with a lovely outlook over the river. The neighborhood is quiet and our time on the river, sitting on the deck and in the hot tub was peaceful and relaxing. Would definitely return.
Good location on N Fitch Mtn Rd w decent river access. Master suite v spacious. Kitchen well stocked. Owners generally responsive to the few things requiring their attention or remedy.
The property was clean and well kept, and proved to be just as described. The owner was exceptionally responsive. I'd certainly rent this place again.
Very nice place with river view! Super clean and comfy beds! Had everything you need!
We had a lovely time at this property. The riverfront views can't be beat! It's a short drive to downtown and a great place to gather with friends.
This was a perfect location for our girl’s weekend away. Lots of nearby wine tasting, restaurants and shops. The home was perfectly clean and comfortable for the four of us. We’re hoping to make this an annual destination.
Beautiful location, thank you!
This spot is perfect for those who are hosting or participating at an event at the Villa Chanticleer, such as a wedding. The Villa is only a short drive away. Amenities in the home are plentiful, with a beautifully upgraded kitchen, spacious deck, and various sleeping arrangements. Getting into the nitty gritty, the sofa bed and the master bedroom are in the same room, but there is a divider in the form of a curtain, so both parties can have privacy. Parking is good for up to 3 cars (1 in front of the house, 2 in the car port) but if you have more, they can park in the triangle at the end of the road. Not too far. The downsides we're few and far between. The only real downside is the 1.5 baths. If you are planning to sleep 8, some planning might be required to make sure everyone has a shower. The hot water never ran out, though. Overall, great place to stay!
Beautiful location and home. Really enjoyed the setting including deck overlooking river and sitting in the hot tub viewing the stars! Would stay again when in area!!
Location is great and the views are wonderful. The place is clean and spacious
Nice house - well appointed, clean, etc. The deck is gorgeous, great furniture, great view. Hot tub definitely needs some work, a bunch of jets didn't work, but it was fine. Wasn't clear that the sofa bed and the master bedroom were pretty much the same room just separated by a curtain, so that wasn't ideal (for adults who would like a little vacation privacy from their kid!!!) and would have been helpful to know. River is very low right outside the house and up and down a ways - like ankle deep - but of course that's drought, river is low most places. No dishwasher detergent or aluminum foil, had to go buy. Cleaners showed up at 10 in the morning on our final morning, but the informational email said very clearly check-out at 11. Manager called us, pretty aggressive, at 10:05 to tell us we were supposed to be out by 10, and when I told her that she had sent us an email saying checkout at 11 and I was looking at it right now, she said the binder in the house said 10 am. ?????? I don't think I ever looked at a binder. I of course went by the email they sent. She was pretty snotty about it. Overall nice house but didn't love the unpleasantness that was their fault as we were packing up.
We loved staying by the river at this location! It was a super close walk to a hidden beach we hadn’t known about. And only 10 minutes to town. The house was very clean and the kitchen well-stocked. Master bedroom was beautiful. Note there are only 1.5 bathrooms, so showering was a little tight for a group of 6.
Overall, this was a great place to stay. It is right by the water and very accessible. My group had a great time!
We had a great stay at this home. Beautiful views of the Russian River and great deck! Kitchen was fully stocked with supplies and beds were super comfortable. Would stay here again!
