Stayed Jun 20, 2025Cute little cabin. The outdoor seating is great for morning coffee watching the deer. Amenities in the home were comfortable and as listed. The home is adorably decorated and was extremely clean! Only a few minor cons, but nothing to prevent me from renting again, but things I would have like to have known: The location is not easily walkable to the Square as the listing implies. You have to walk along a major highway through an intersection without sidewalks or proper pedestrian paths and it is dangerous. The 3 minute drive is worth it! River access is not easy to get to nor is it really a river front place to hang out and chill by the water. It’s a bit of walk and the area to sit looks like the end of an old concrete pile bridge. You have to walk down side stairs to the water but it is not easy to access once you leave the steps. The water is low and the rocks are large and slippery. I would not take children in at all. Fun to look at for a few minutes from the “pier” but I would not include river activities as part of your plans. Nearby Cypress Creek however is gorgeous and I believe there are public access points throughout Wimberley.Only other minor complaint is the location is quite close to the road, and the intersection mentioned above, and therefore road noise was quite prominent late into the night. Nothing that kept us from sleeping, but definitely worth noting if you are a light sleeper.
