Loved the quietness of the property and the access to the river. Children loved the pool, river, and ability to have their own space in the game room. Clean, comfortable beds, and outside space is what to come for.

Stayed with a group of 7 and had the best time! The house is amazing the pictures don’t even do it justice. The rooms are huge, and each room has a private bathroom. We spent one whole afternoon down at the river swimming and going down the chute behind the house. We really had a great time and I know we will be back. I reached out to the property managers multiple times before we checked in and they were always so fast to respond and helpful with recommendations and suggestions. 10 out of 10

Overall the stay was amazing, the location and the river access being right there with running water - actually ended up catching a river bass doing a little fishing (I’d recommend water shoes or old sneakers). The house was very clean and actually they have a new L sofa in the living room that’s got outlets and reclines. Grill was great - cleaned it up a bit for them and had a great burger / chicken thigh dinner our last night. The ONLY reason I would say 4 instead of 4 stars is with it being on a septic system. There was a pretty strong sulphur odor - especially at first, then it would come and go. Also door code wasn’t working, but we fortunately found an unlocked door to one of the patios. The host fixed the lock and was VERY responsive, so this was a non-factor but could have been an issue if there was no unlocked door. They have a reverse osmosis water filtration system so 10/10 on that (pic included).

I love this house and the property! We are a family of 5 — 15 month old, 8 and 10 year old daughters. This house was a great escape and on our first day…my middle daughter found the biggest pile of feces I. The closet. We didn’t know about it until a couple of hours after checking in — we arrived, enjoyed the outdoors, sorted out dinner and then when we started to unpack..bam! We called the property manager around d 7-8pm…no one can clean it up until the next day!! The listing stated 24 hour call service; the property manager’s customer service is an offshored service and they stated no one from the local office could be contacted! We had to wait until the next day when someone contacted us at 10AM that someone would be at the house in a hour. We arrived after lunch, A LOT of bleach/chemical fumes. We had to air out the downstairs floor and it took until at least the next day to be decent. You could still smell undertones of feces and bleach. I mean seriously, how does the cleaning crew leave a pile of feces in a closet!!!!!!! Again, house is beautiful but I think the homeowner should find a dedicated property manager.

This property was perfect for our group of six. The house is very spacious, and spread out. You never felt like you were imposing on others space. All the beds were very comfortable and big. The views to the river were gorgeous. The sunrise and sunset do not disappoint. There were deer in the backyard, and lots of birds to watch. The river noise was so peaceful. We were able to jog and run the 3/4 mile paved entrance for exercise. The location was perfect for hopping in the car and going to the town square. We enjoyed family dinners and puzzle making. The fire pit was great for evening time. We highly recommend this property to get away and enjoy the noises of the quiet hill country.

great stay, house good, I suggest you have that keypad fixed, we only got it to work once after the office reset, it would never lock using the Locksafe button, had to lock from inside and leave back door open which was not ideal as we had some very expensive belongings in the house.

Our extended family enjoyed our stay and would return. The pros include four bedrooms with four bathrooms, plenty of space for everyone to have time together and solitude, the home was on a swimming hole on the river that wasn't dry, and plenty of activities and tubes on the property. What I wish I had known before arriving is that there was not a working ice machine, which made it inconvenient since the home is 15 minutes from a grocery, the pool was too hot to be comfortable to use in late June, and the security system chimes every time the doors leading outdoors are opened in the master bedroom which makes napping almost impossible in there during the day and the kitchen table only sits six. Our family had a wonderful weekend and enjoyed playing the ball after the sunset. The lighting on the court made it possible to play as it got dark. One of my highlights was having my morning coffee on the grounds overlooking the bluffs.

We take a yearly trip to Wimberly and this was our 2nd time at this VRBO. Our 1st time was excellent, which is why we came back. This time was different. The house wasn’t clean, there were dead scorpions in each room, I’m glad they were dead, but a quick sweep by the cleaning team would have fixed this. The showers in the primary bedroom were not usable due to a foul sulphur smell. It overwhelmed the house and we had to open doors / windows. The pool was dirty, the showers need a good cleaning. The bocce ball court lacked the correct balls to be able to play properly. The couch beds were filthy with unclean sheets. The ice maker in the kitchen that once worked, no longer works. For the price they charge per night, I would expect more from this place. The owners should be made aware that whoever is cleaning the place between stays is not doing an adequate job.
