Stayed Nov 20, 2025Our host was incredibly responsive and detailed in all communication, which made check-in and our stay very smooth. The home had everything we needed — multiple TVs, a hot tub, a pool table, and plenty of comfortable seating and gathering space for our group. The only downside was the location next to an automotive shop, which wasn’t the most scenic view, and the bright exterior lights from the shop shone into the two upstairs bedrooms at night.Overall, it was a well-equipped and comfortable home, and we really appreciated the attentive host.

Stayed Nov 6, 2025There were pros and cons to staying here. The location is beautiful! We came when the autumn colors were at their peak. The lot is secluded, and it was wonderful to have dark skies to see stars at night. The amount of bedrooms and bathrooms is a big plus. The external features (gazebo/porch swing, fire pit, hot tub) look great, but we did not use them due to cold weather. On the downside, we couldn’t get the main entertainment TV in living room to work, so we moved a couch into the dining space to watch movies there. Virtually everything is original from 60’s. Water pressure was very low. Toilets only flush if you hold handle for entire flush cycle. Four women had to time the showers to not coincide with each other. The lock box to the front door was difficult to access, and front doorknobs are loose. The upstairs hall bathroom lock didn’t work, and at least one bedroom door didn’t lock. Lighting was dim. The fans throughout the house are great, but need replacing with newer fans that include a light. The kitchen has many extra pot lids that don’t fit the pots available. No measuring cups or spoons.Cleanliness of the home was very good. Bedding and beds were comfortable and adequate for the cooler weather. We loved being able to see the stars, and Clarkesville is a charming town! It was hard to find the driveway at first, but that was also a plus, to feel like we were away from the city. The property is nestled in a beautiful part of Georgia. Just needs some updates.

Stayed Sep 26, 2025Everything was great. It was hard to open the box with the key but we got it open. Water pressure was a little weak but it was OK. Everything else was great. Emailed the host and never heard from them.

Stayed May 22, 2025Beautiful property. The stairs are very creaky, but it is an older home (built in the 60s). No stealthy moving about early in the morning without waking other people. All in all it was as described. The management person was very communicative and helpful.

Stayed May 9, 2025We enjoying our stay. The house is nice if a little basic but well appointed for comfort and does provide the solitude and quiet away from traffic noise. The garage was a bonus in the rain for unloading the car.

Stayed Jan 17, 2025There were eight of us staying there mainly adults. The bedrooms were light out perfect with nice comfortable beds and wonderful bedding. The bathrooms clean and spacious. We loved the large kitchen dining room area. It is laid out perfectly if you have a large family or even if you’re having company over for dinner one night there is room for everyone. We love the fact that they were TVs in the gathering area areas, but not in the bedrooms. It kept us all close together.Location is perfect with being out in the quiet but within a 10 to 15 minute drive of several major attractions such as Clarksville Cleveland and the beautiful Helen. We definitely would like to return here when we have more than just a couple of days.

Stayed Mar 10, 2024Large private yard just outside of Clarksville. We loved the separation of bedrooms and living areas. It is perfect for larger groups where some want to sleep when others are still noisy. ? It is clean and supplied with all necessities in the kitchen and bathrooms. Thank-you for a lovely home to stay in away from home.

Stayed Feb 16, 2024Awesome place for our visit! Everything was as advertised, well stocked, and plenty of room. Yes, it’s an “older” house but well kept and private. We will be back!
