Nice and best

Location: 5Safety: 5Accuracy of listing: 3Cleanliness: 2I have never arrived to a property where the entire place, especially the bathroom - was not cleaned, at all. Urine drips & hairs all over the toilet rim, hairs in the shower/sink/floor. Dingy towels and floor mats with lingering urine smell.Pillow cases yellow from stains. The metal kitchen trash bin broken. You could hear the residents upstairs heel-walking. I didn’t have a car, but if you plan to park, best to notify them beforehand because there is no street parking or designated spot in the driveway which already has multiple vehicles. Listing says washer/dryer available, but it isn’t actually located inside the unit. The info binder inside the rental says it’s a 10 charge to use their washer/dryer.I made the best of it because there were family emergency reasons why I needed to be in Richmond Hill, but I cannot recommend this property. Which is truly unfortunate.

1. After a 10 hour drive from NYC, I contacted the host asking about checking in 1-2 hours early to get some rest. He then instructed it would cost 30 for 1 hour or 50 to 2 hours earlier! Not even the best hotels charge this. 2. We had an event to attend for 6pm and arrived back at the apt at 11. After such a long day, I was eager to get some rest. Once in bed, I was itching all over and when I turned on the lights I had bumps all over my hands and legs due to about a dozen bed bugs on the bed!!! I took videos and photos and contacted the host. He didnt apologize but instead kept telling me this has never happened before and he treats for bed bugs often. What was a bit strange was he knew exactly which room was infected without me having to tell him. I told him I would be requesting a full refund and will look for another place. He then asked me to leave by 9am! I've stayed in numerous spaces but never encountered something like this. This trip and specifically this place was a nightmare.

Great place to stay.

Check in was easy and the home was beautiful.

It was overall nice, however the description of having 3 twin beds in the living area seems inaccurate. They’re couches that recline instead of beds, which wasn’t was we were expecting. We made it work so it fulfilled our basic need for a nice place to sleep.

Nice property. Good communications during the reservation process. Owner did state that floors were soundproofed, however we could hear the owners walking around on the mainfloor.

The backyard was what drew us to the listing and we were very pleased with the accuracy to the listing. The (basement only) unit was secluded from the rest of the house and very clean and spacious for our brief stay.
