Our stay was excellent. The house is extremely well equipped for families and in a great location. Cleanliness was top tier and overall it provided for a very inviting and comfortable week.

My family had a great time at this house! The layout was super cool and all the windows made for great viewing; we loved that you could see the ski slopes from the porch and also saw deer every day we were there. The fireplace in the lower level got super hot, which was great and the whole family enjoyed all the retro video games. The kitchen was more stocked than anywhere else we’ve visited and everything was labeled, which was super helpful. We definitely plan on returning!

We had the best time at Alonna’s place! Check-in and check-out were a breeze and there was great communication throughout with the host. We booked this home for a last-minute family ski trip with our 2 boys and dog the early part of Christmas break and it was perfect! Great house with all the amenities and thoughtful decor to both celebrate and update the retro vibe. It’s location overlooks the slopes and the home was decorated for Christmas, which was such a lovely and cozy touch! It was perfectly located for going to the resort and coming back home for breaks. And the arcade was an absolute hit with our boys and a throwback to our childhoods. The kids are already saying this was one of our best trips ever and are asking when we can go back. Highly recommended!

We had such a wonderful family stay here and wish we’d stayed longer. The house was cozy but spacious, with plenty of room for everyone to spread out, hang out together, or just chill and enjoy the view. The retro style and layout were really fun and thoughtfully done. Having two separate suite areas was especially nice, and the dressing room/laundry room setup was incredibly handy. The big shower was a standout!The game room/den quickly became a favorite hangout spot for everyone. Definitely stop for firewood, curling up by the wood stove in the den made the space extra cozy and inviting and was one of our favorite parts of the stay.The home had everything we could possibly need (and even things we didn’t know we needed). It was very clean, beautifully decorated, and exceptionally accessible for my mom, who has Parkinson’s and uses a walker. There was more than enough space for me, my husband, our three adult sons, my mom, and our two dogs without ever feeling cramped.We really enjoyed the outside deck—even in cold, rainy weather and the circular driveway plus additional parking made coming and going easy. The kitchen was extremely well stocked with all the tools you could want, which is important because the food options at Massanutten are… not great. Cooking here was a pleasure.The added bonus of the holiday decorations truly topped off our mini Christmas vacation. We felt comfortable, relaxed, and right at home, and would absolutely stay here again.

This was a great place to enjoy it a family getaway and a lovely Thanksgiving holiday. It was enjoyable for all ages, from young children, their parents and grandparents. The addition of electronic games and board games brought the family together and made great memories.

Such a beautiful and unique cabin! The retro arcade was a huge hit with our group! Fantastic communication from the host before, during, and after our stay. Would definitely stay here again!

Great location, quick to respond communication with host, pretty level parking, very clean, well stocked kitchen, plenty of seating upstairs and down, comfortable beds, spacious, huge deck with good amount of seating (a couple more comfy seats would be nice), exactly as pictured, no ceiling fans so no circulating air-(really the only negative) bunk room was warmest room 10/10 recommend. The resort had so much to do. You can hike right there as well. Love this house.

Enjoyed our stay! Host was responsive. House was tastefully decorated with the retro theme, and we traveled as a family ranging from ages 7-75 with 2 dogs. Everything was clean, spacious, and well-stocked. The kids (young and old) enjoyed the arcade area, the deck was perfect for relaxing with a book or around the fire pit, and there was plenty of storage space so we could unpack and relax. Lots to do if you don’t mind the driving part. We enjoyed visiting the national park, the waterpark, arboretum at JMU, Civil War museum, river tubing, and the county fair. Highly recommend Alonna’s rental!

We have been coming to Massanutten for years but this is our first time staying in a rental house. It was a fantastic experience. The house was so well organized and stocked with quite a few essentials we were not expecting. Parking at the property was easier, especially considering the surrounding houses that look like a nightmare to park at. The kids greatly enjoyed the selection of arcade and all of the activities Massanutten had to offer kept us busy all week. We are very appreciative of being able to use this home for a week and hope to do so again in the future!

We absolutely adored this property. The layout was conducive to enjoying time together and also having privacy when needed. The outdoor space is amazing. We spent a lot of time on the deck! The house had all the amenities you could want. The host was gracious and responsive. If we revisit the area, we would 100% choose this property again.

We came to celebrate our daughter's 30th birthday in the Shenandoah Valley. I selected Alonna's beautiful home because of the fabulous reviews, pictures and the convenience to the highlights we wanted to visit. Was not disappointed at all...she had everything there, the beds were so comfortable and the resort amazing. Thank you for opening your home to us and for a wonderful stay. Definitely will be coming back.

We had a great time staying in this stylish and funky mountain home. Well appointed and stocked with everything you need for a comfy stay. We really enjoyed the expansive decks and views from the tree-tops.

This is the type of property that you will want to return to time and again. Spotless, retro-themed decor with some modern touches to create an inviting stay with personality plus.There were three of us and our dog and we had lots of space (both inside and out). Expansive decks with lots of comfortable seating and big windows that let in lots of sunshine. The setting is private with great views and the house is well stocked with everything you need for a home away from home.All of this plus very comfy and large beds! We will definitely return and that is rare for our family.

We stayed here for my birthday weekend with my boyfriend and 9 yo daughter. First, this home had such great energy and ambiance. We loved the retro chic decor. The location is great and central to everything! The house was very clean and my OCD heart loved the organization of everything in the kitchen cabinets. :) The hosts were very communicative and pleasant! We even left something behind and not only did they find it, but went above and beyond to return it to us! We absolutely love our stay and this home. We hope to return again next year!

This place was awesome! Not only was the location on spot but the house was set up nicely. Fantastic layout. Fantastic views. The host was super friendly and helpful, plus responded promptly with all my questions. We cannot wait to come back!

The house is absolutely amazing! The kids loved the arcade games. The view over the ski slopes was neat. The beds were super comfortable. I know beds are a very personal thing, but for us they were perfect. The house has to be the cleanest VRBO we've ever stayed in. When we've stayed at other places in the past the floors would make your socks dirty, so you felt you had to wear shoes inside. These floors were spotless. Wished we could have stayed longer but had to get home for a family event.

The property was very well maintained and was in a great location; only a short drive to apple orchards, a lavender farm, breweries and wineries, Luray Caverns, and Shenandoah national park. The property was well set up for my family with small kids and our dogs. This is an amazing family vacation house!

The house was amazing, clean and a perfect spot for our extended weekend getaway! The communication with the host was top notch and the home looked just like the pictures portrayed. Our kids loved the game room and are already asking to go back to the “red house on the hill.”
