Renovated Semi Ocean Front in Duck, 4 King En-Suites, Sleeps 10, Pet Friendly!

Overall great experience! The property was exactly as described and perfect for a family vacation. Everything a large family could require was readily available and in good condition.

The house was wonderful, the location is ideal — steps to the beach and you can see the water from the deck, perfect for reading in the sun and stargazing at night. The host is friendly and very responsive.

We celebrated the holidays with extended family -- 9 adults and 2 dogs. The property suited us perfectly -- a great room with lots of light and a view of the ocean in the distance. The kitchen was well-equipped for our feasts, and the counter and table provided great places to eat and/or hang-out with the cooks. A smaller loft was good for the one member of our group that needed to check-in with work and for more quiet conversations. We put up a tree, used the hot tub, and walked on the beach. It was a little too cold to play ping pong in the outdoor room, and we never mastered the fire pit instructions. But the gas fireplace was cozy and we had any privacy we needed as well as wonderful spaces for group gatherings. We loved it!

What a great house! The location was perfect, only steps from the beach! The house itself was beautiful. Inside was very clean - it was nice that towels and linens were provided. The layout of the house was great as well. Plenty of beach chairs, toys and umbrellas to use which was also much appreciated. Great decks and hot tub as well! One small suggestion/opportunity for improvement which would not deter me from renting again - the grass was not cut and a bit high around the entire property. Also, there were a lot of cobwebs on the outside decks so had to swing our arms around as we walked in order to avoid them. Other than that would absolutely rent this home again.

We had 14, 8 kids and 6 adults, stay for the week. The weather didn’t cooperate with our beach week, but the property gave us more than enough space to not be on top of each other. The kids enjoyed the game room, the adults were all very happy to each having their own bathrooms and bedrooms. Property has plenty of dishes and cookware for us to cook for 14. Two refrigerators keep everything cool and the ice maker was a big hit with everyone.

The Coastal Cottage is a great property with many amenities. It is very close to the beach and is centrally located in the northern Outer Banks. I would definitely rent here again.

We loved our week staying at Mitch and Nancy's beautiful home in Duck! The house was very roomy and comfortable! Plenty of space for everyone! We spent every night on the deck just enjoying the views and the peace and quiet of the neighborhood! The beach was so close and with two little ones and two dogs that was a huge plus! The dogs were allowed on the beach any time and it was nice that they were able to be with us! Our new favorite place and we cannot wait to go back!

We loved this location! While it isn’t right on the water, it is only steps away and didn’t feel much different than most of our previous waterfront properties. It was perfect for our group of 3 families including ages 12+. The kids and adults had plenty of little nooks to entertain everyone. We appreciated how well the owners/managers communicated and responded to every question/concern.

We had a great time, everything was exactly as advertised. The house had plenty of space for our large family, the location was perfect, and the house had plenty of great amenities.

The Coastal Cottage was a near perfect stay for my young family of four, my brothers young family of four, and our mom. We each had huge bedrooms to stay in and all the littles had their very own spaces. The kitchen was equipped with all the tools and appliances (there’s even a nugget ice maker iykyk), the bedrooms had extra pack and plays, and they even had bikes for us to use! The neighborhood was so quiet and great for walks/rides with the family. Also, Mitch and Nancy were so very kind and informative on all the best spots around Duck. We had the slightest issue with the floors being a bit dirty, however Nancy and Mitch were so quick to rectify the situation and ensured we were satisfied with everything else. The rest of the home was spotless which is why I gave the 4 stars for cleanliness. Overall, we would most definitely stay here again in this lovely OBX home.
