Mae's Casita at 453 Cerrillos, City of Santa Fe Short Term Rental License #19-00158819, is a 1,000 square foot free-standing home just a few blocks from the Historic Santa Fe Plaza. This beautiful, recently renovated home is part of a classic Santa Fe Compound of buildings dating back to New Mexico's Territorial Period before 1912. The compound at 453 Cerrillos includes The Loft at 453, VRBO #1261468 and The Cottage at 453, VRBO #1341068, both 1 br/1 bath. Our new properties are tight next door on W Manhattan: Casa Dominguez, VRBO #1708667 and Circa 1885, VRBO # 1744138, which share a private garden courtyard. Both are 1 bedroom. The property is remarkably quiet given its close proximity to the Santa Fe Railyard District, the Historic Santa Fe Plaza, Canyon Road and the State Capitol Grounds. Mae's Casita has a kitchen with full refrigerator, gas range, dishwasher, microwave and granite countertops. The old fashioned white enamel sink has a vintage style bridge faucet. The open living room/dining area enjoy easy access to the kitchen. There is an instant on gas fireplace. One of the two identically sized and configured bedrooms features an en-suite bathroom. The second bedroom's bath adjoins the bedroom but is not en-suite. Santa Fe's iconic coffee shop, Ohori's, is across Manhattan Street just steps away. Santa Fe's best bakery, Sage Bakery, is conveniently around the corner. Performance venues Lensic Theater and St. Francis Auditorium as well as Site Santa Fe, New Mexico Museum of Art, the Palace of the Governors and the New Mexico History Museum are all less than a 10 minute walk from the Casita. Meow Wolf is a short drive or accessed with public transportation.

Our commercial laundry service – the same laundry service used by most high-end hotels in Northern New Mexico - uses unscented, hypoallergenic detergent and extremely hot water. Sheets are lightly starched and ironed at 385 degrees.
Sanitize, gloves and masks are made available for guests.
Should you have any suggestions, please let Linda and Lance know.

We enjoyed the casita very much! The recommendation book was thoughtful. Very conveniently located to walkable things but also a quiet little “neighborhood “ area to park. Only complaint would be coffee pot was loud and didn’t hold much. Overall great experience

Mae's Casita was perfect for our couples weekend. The location is ideal for exploring downtown Santa Fe and the Plaza on foot, and Linda and Lance have covered all the small details and amenities that make a stay comfortable. They also thoughtfully provided a welcome bottle of wine along with other snacks and supplies, all of which were greatly appreciated. Sitting and chatting by the cozy fireplace in the evening after days of hiking, exploring, and dining was a real pleasure. Highly recommended, and we hope to stay here again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mae’s Casita. The location is very convenient for both walking and driving, and the off-street parking was really nice to have. There are thoughtful touches everywhere, and we had everything we could possibly need. It was a fantastic place to vacation with my parents (in their mid-late 70s), who could enjoy the space and easily explore many nearby restaurants and attractions. I hope we’ll get a chance to stay again someday!

This is our fifth year in a row staying at one of Lance and Linda’s properties. This was the first time staying at Mae’s Casita and it did not disappoint. Beautifully furnished with plenty of privacy. Beautiful wine, cheese and cracker snacks were set out artfully upon our arrival. It is a quick walk to the Plaza and to the Railyard district as well. Plenty of galleries there and fresh produce at the Farmer’s Market on Saturday and Tuesday.

We’ve stayed in a lot of VRBOs over the years, and this has to be one of our best experiences yet. The communication with the owners was excellent from the start—they were responsive, helpful, and even went out of their way to provide an air mattress for our son.The casita itself was beautifully maintained and incredibly well-stocked. We were blown away by the thoughtful welcome goodies: a generous platter of cheese and crackers, the most amazing sea salt chocolate chip cookies, a bottle of wine, some beer, and even whole milk for our son. After a long 6-hour drive from Colorado, it was such a treat to be able to enjoy a little “après” upon arrival. It truly made us feel welcomed and at home right away. The location was perfect—super walkable to everything Santa Fe has to offer. We absolutely loved our stay and can’t recommend this place highly enough. We’re already looking forward to coming back!

Nicely decorated in a cozy contemporary style. Kitchen was perfect size for preparing breakfast and had all the kitchenware we needed. Heating was quite adequate, which has not always been our experience in NM. The small but adequately stocked and supplied kitchen was fine for simple meal preps. Off-street secure parking. Great communication with hosts, both pre-arrival and during our stay. would definitely recommend!
